The food was amazing. The staff were brilliant, so attentive. The restaurant is decorated brilliantly, such a great place. There is a massive carport less than two minutes walk from the restaurant.

The ribs and wings had great flavours but were very chewy, quite disappointing. I went to Mission Chicken recently, their sister restaurant and the food there was incredible so it?s surprising the ribs and wings at the smoke pit weren?t up to par.

I had the giant portion of baby-back ribs and they were very good.
The service couldn't have been better.

The place is must be the most expensive place buy a burger when the quality is on par with McDonalds. ??? Waiting staff are not good and try to pressure you to purchase extras at a very expensive price. ??? i would not recommend!

Absolutely Outstanding! A Must-Visit in Northampton
From the moment we walked into The Smoke Pit, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, setting the stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience.
The food? Next level. Every bite was packed with bold, smoky flavor?the brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ribs were perfectly glazed and fall-off-the-bone good, and the sides (don?t sleep on the mac & cheese) were just as impressive. Portions are generous, so come hungry!
Service was exceptional?friendly, fast, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. It?s clear the team here cares deeply about both quality and customer experience.
Whether you're a BBQ connoisseur or just looking for a killer meal with friends, The Smoke Pit absolutely delivers. Can?t wait to come back?this place is a gem!

Be warned,this place isn't for the faint of heart. Their portions are huge,in future will be ordering a starter and side and nothing more. To go boxes were provided which were essential.

A lot of chefs, even in steak houses, mess up RibEyes. Not this one. Perfect. Nice brisket hash too. Good service, friendly and attentive. Nice easy place with a good menu and good team. Will revisit.

Had a burger at their van at Delapre Food Festival. Massive disappointment as a burger enthusiast. The burger itself was quite dry and had a few big bits of hard grizzle inside the patty - it didn't seem like a quality dry aged patty that was advertised. The bottom bun was totally soaked through, making it very difficult and frustrating to eat. Pretty poor burger to be honest.

Nice to see a restaurant so busy. We didn?t have a booking but they managed to fit us in. Good service and lovely food. I?ve never had so many flavours in a hot dog dish before. Fab fries too.
