Nice canal lock side pub. Very nice beers/ales. Good menu available and we were told how good the Sunday lunch was, but we didn't eat there.

The pub garden is next to a canal lock. Wonderful to watch the boats. I had hunter chicken, it was lovely.

Lovely food, including excellent Sunday roasts. Right on the canal lock so you can watch the boats come and go. Nice walk nearby along the Buckby Lock flight. We always take our overseas visitors there to see both the canal system and the boats.

Popped in here during my canal bike ride for a quick bite and a drink, and honestly, it was just what I needed. The staff were super friendly and on the ball?no waiting around, which is always a win when you're hungry and a bit windswept. The pub?s got this cozy, old-school charm, with canal bits and bobs all over the walls that give it a laid-back, nautical vibe. Definitely one of those spots where you think, ?Yeah? I could stay for another pint.?

Had a lovely evening meal outside on the canal. Burgers were very tasty and no fuss. Nice chunky chips and a simple salad perfect.

Nice little canal Pub off the A5, with simple classic pub dishes to eat with local Ales and Beers. Dog friendly.

A very tired old pub in desperate need of a full refurbishment.
90s foam wallpaper does not bode well in the 2020s & the noisy carpet could give sufferers a migraine, though surprising might be the reason that dogs are not welcomed inside.
Bar service only, including food.
You can guess 90% of the menu, all very underwhelming.
Huge bland chips clogged my mouth like plain crackers.
The brewery is clearly not supporting the owners and it shows.
All the staff were lovely but lack proper direction.

We have stopped here for a meal several times when passing on our boat. The food is always well cooked and good portions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoy our visits.
