Nice little pub, walked in and was surprised at the selection of unusual beers on offer as I always like to try something new and normally disappointed but not at the lamplighter.
Nice ambience in the bar and the barman was very helpful and polite. Good choice of beers. Would definitely come back!

Hands down still the best Sunday roast in Northampton. Brilliant staff serving great food and a decent selection of beer. Friday and Saturday nights here are always good with an eclectic clientele. One of the best pubs in Northampton.

Fantastic. Took my dad here for Father?s Day. Great atmosphere, staff are attentive and polite. Would definitely go here again. Great selection of vegan options (pictured). Only issue is parking isn?t too easy.

The Lamplighter were able to accommodate our large booking and organise fantastic food served hot and in great time for our booking needs. Great communication and lovely staff! Venue is attractive and the upstairs space is great for small party!

Wonderful gem...passed many times in previous years. Emailed to book table for Sunday lunch-very prompt reply. Parked easily in side street as can on Sunday.

We just had to fit in another Sunday Roast on our driving trip through England. Lamplighter didn?t disappoint. So many options. Loved having choices for vegetarian roasts. Nutloaf and accompaniments were delicious. So much food we had to skip dessert.

It was it was our wedding anniversary on the 1st of June. We decided to come for a Sunday roast because it's the best you can have. And once again we wasn't disappointed great service and nice atmosphere. Great start to celebrate our anniversary. See you again soon.

Great little pub with good vibes, great good and a really friendly team. I grew bored of my normal local, and decided to try somewhere else, found this place by chance and was happy I did. The staff are welcoming and it has an inclusive feel to it, so all are welcome.
The Sunday Roast is incredible and really good value. Definitely worth a try. Will update again when I try the burger later this month!

Every visit to The Lamplighter has been really lovely. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Service is quick, the food is delicious. We enjoy the burgers, freshly cooked jam packed with a decent portion of fries and coleslaw. The inside of the pub is cozy and cool. The outside space feels intimate, has heaters and covering for when it rains, you forget you are close to a town centre.

Stumbled across this back street hidden gem, before going to a gig at the Roadmender (10 min walk away).
Great choice of ale, staff were engaging, friendly and efficient, food (Chilly & chunky chips) was good and a large portion and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.
Will be back.
