We ordered and the food arrived within 20mins (we live 5mins away) - so can't fault the service however, that's, sadly, where the compliments end.
Chicken Tandoori starter - dry and served with onions that were practically raw rather than sautéed.
Mixed Tandoori main - 4 small pieces of flavourless chicken tikka, and 2 of the same of lamb. Same chicken tandoori as starter dry and stringy. The seekh kebab had some flavour but was rubbery in texture. Contained the same almost raw onions. 13.95 too!
Chicken Jalfrezi Main - watery and bland. Honestly, a supermarket ready meal is ten times better!
Throughly disappointed. Would not recommend at all. The people who rate the food here must never have eaten a proper curry!

We were having our meal at Spices of Bruerne. At around 9.30 pm we could see kitchen staff started shutting things down. We weren?t even asked if we wanted to see the desert menu which we waited a long time for before giving up and asking for the bill. At 10.03pm we were finishing drinks before we said our goodbyes when we were told by a member of staff the restaurant was closed and asked us to leave. As they already knew we were preparing to leave, there was no need to ask and I thought this was extremely rude. I couldn?t think of anything worse to spoil what would have been a perfect evening after spending £130. When we left we noticed the sign outside the door saying opening hours were until 11pm so they had decided to close an hour early.
In summary good food and beautiful location ruined by poor customer service. None of the staff looked like they wanted to be there. However, credit where credit is due, the young lad who took our orders was very sweet. This restaurant appears to have the potential to do very well if the staff loved it enough to make it successful. I think we will continue with our usual Indian restaurant, despite the extra travel. We know what service we can expect we go there and that we are made welcome.
Parking: There was only space for our car when we arrived as there were 3-4 cars filling up the car park. Parking is insufficient

Lovely food unfortunately we were seated at a table that was very very small (even though the place was empty for the entire of our meal) the tablecloth was dirty as was the door we were sitting next to with splattered sauce over it. We waited a while for the bill and then asked for it, still not received it after 10mins so went to the desk & the 3 staff were all chatting & we had to ask again. As I say food was great but will not be returning any time soon as was unimpressed.

Tried to order a takeaway online to collect through my login at Spice Bruene .A 3rd party contacted me and said was I paying cash, I said I wanted to pay with my card, they said unless it was cash the restaurant would cancel my order. I rang the restaurant to enquire why they wouldn't accept my card when I've been regularly buying takeaways from them and the restaurant hang up the call. On a positive note I decided to try Calcutta's in Stony Stratford and the food and service was brilliant.

We had a takeaway tonight. It was delivered to our address, the delivery man was very polite. it was one of the best takeaways we've ever had. A very easy booking system. Would definitely recommend

One of the best restaurants in the area if you like Indian food. Always good in a lovely location. Fast, efficient service with a smile. Highly recommend.
