Car key stucked in ignition. Asked mechanics to take it out. Car sat 2 days and then 9am received a call, been qouted a fortune!!!Ridiculous price of 695£.Went to the garage and took the key out myself. Anyways for a waste of time been charged 75£. (their hourly charge is 85£/h) Would give 0 stars if I could.Kind advice to AVOID this place. Also, women in reception is rude

Incorrect advice given which could have led to a costly repair. Thankful I did my own homework and confirmed before using this garage.Costly too - the highest price for the least amount of work quoted.

Stay clear!!!We received the poorest service. They kept our car for days after returning it. Repairs turned into arguments. we took the car in has it was leaking. After they had repaired it we discovered a burning smell and the leak remained. Our trust in this company ended right there. They still have our car to carry out the work that should of been carried out in the first place. Now they refuse to speak to me. Meanwhile we have been using taxis and buses as a family on low income are now struggling. They hopefully will return our car. The hole deal has been very stressful for us. Caused alot of inconvenience.Thank you Sheltune.

Unfortunately we have been left very disappointed from the service that we have received from Sheltune over the past week.Initially we were pleased with their service they would always get us in on short notice and we thought they were always honest and very quick. We took a small (& relatively new) van in for an MOT. Later that day we had a call advising that it had failed on Brake pads & disks & 3 tyres. We were told that all the above needed doing in order for it to pass. We asked for a quote and were given a quote £970+ VAT. We declined for the work to be done and took it to another local garage who have passed the MOT with the tyres as an advisory. We called Sheltune and asked to speak with a manager so we could discuss how this had happened. We were met with hostility and advised they had no notes on the MOT that they had carried out. We are so disappointed that a local company that we had used for years now feel the need to rip another local company off .

Extremely unhappy with the excessive amount quoted for a (failed MOT).. took the car to another garage and it passed with 2 advisories. Good job I had enough time to take it elsewhere and have an honest amount quoted for the same work to be carried out.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!My mum went for an MOT 3 year old car 40k on the clock failed on brakes imbalance front and rear. Your tester need a refresher as a minimum, reported to VOSA.But here is a little assistance incase you failed to have it to hand!Calculating brake imbalanceFor the majority of vehicles, the MOT testing service will calculate brake imbalance automatically. However, when this is not the case, such as for tricycles and quadricycles or if MTS is not working, you must calculate the brake imbalance against the maximum brake efforts on each axle in the following way:Brake imbalance equation: (higher brake effort - lower brake effort / higher brake effort) x 100 = % imbalanceDisregard any brake imbalance across an axle if the lower recorded effort is as a result of a locked wheel or if the higher brake effort from a wheel is not more than 40kg.

Always a good job, very quick too. I've been going here for a few years now. Most recently, I took my car up in the morning, it was MOT'd, and had some small work done by the afternoon. Even though they were super busy. Fantastic service.
