Decent sized small venue. A slight laissez faire attitude for gig entry. Parking in the multistorey across the road. Not enough good gigs here now... would like to go more!

Had an amazing night at The Roadmender! The concert was absolutely brilliant ? fantastic sound, great atmosphere, and a crowd that was really into it. The venue itself is great: friendly staff, efficient bar service, and really does justice to live music. ????

Saw Stiff Little Fingers here June '25. A very hot night but fortunately the venue has great a/c so the auditorium wasn't an oven like some places can be.
The venue is quite small but that means you can get served at the bar in double quick time and you can see the band without needing binoculars!
It's only a ten minute walk from the station or there's a multi-storey car park literally across the road.

Took the train from London to see Confidence Man at this great venue.
Friendly security and bar staff.There's a cloakroom - just ask a member of bar staff and they charge £2 a coat in a locked room.
Reasonable drink prices.
With an 800 capacity I managed to be at the front just 4ft away from the stage.Much better than any big corporate arena as you're so close to the band,especially when Confidence Man are all about the energy,dance and interacting with the audience.
For the first time I got sprayed with champagne as Sugar Bones does at every gig ..lol
The security staff inside the club were friendly and approachable.
Easy access to the toilets and bar.
If the journey there and back wasn't so long - I spent more time on that than seeing the 2 bands( support one were good too) - I'd go more regularly as they put on a big variety of different genres.
The sort of local venue thats died out all over the country - lucky Northampton to have a thriving local music venue.
Also a great crowd - friendly and of all ages and up for a good time.Very enthusiastic joining on with singing and dancing.

ASWAD - lovely venue, easy to find, friendly staff, support group mystic were excellent, dj was incredible, did his job right got the whole crowd so ready, aswad came on started their intro crowd was excited then i dont know who in the name of scarey dude on something eyes too wide with too much energy came on to join them but he was awful! over animated shouty out of tune singer was but everyone just died! Aswad were sooo disappointing n the young dude who was headlining for them just didnt work, aswad used to b so smooth, cool slick widit dat dis young dude jumping around all over the stage, screaming at the top of his lungs till his voice went, singing way out of tune and so agressive and over over animated ruined the night for everyone, most ppl left or were standing outside complaining. What i cant believe is that the two original members of the group, with all their experience of performing let this happen! It was 'so' bad, really so bad! I dont kno what in the name of 'ppl wanna reminisce' that aswad didnt start with warrior charge n do all their famous hits for the crowd. The percussions were on point but young dude aint doing the group 'any' favours! Was very very bad set tonight! Very bad! Glad i only paid £22 coz i would have been asking for my money back if i'd ave paid a red cent more i tell ya! Need to desperately 'unsee' young dude scarey eyes over animated gestures big teet screaming prancer! Traumatised!

Such a perfect music venue. Plays loads of bands and tribute acts to keep things lively. Perfect size so you can always get close to the stage. Floor is not ridiculously sticky so it doesn't feel like your shoes have suction cups attached to the bottom. Easy to jump around. Good beer and loudddd speakers. Loves

What a fantastic venue for music. It?s easy to get to and has a giant car park right in front. Service at the bar was quick and friendly and the music venue didnt feel too crowded.

Fantastic venue just lacking in some benches either in the corridor or at the sides, it's a long weekend on your feet!
