Great shop, friendly staff.
Large variety of stock.
Close to a 2hour free carpark.
It can get quite busy and the queues can get quite long but the staff open more tills & do there best to keep the queues down.

Having Had Recent negative experiences at various OTHERshop outlets in northampton,we shopped at Home Bargains store 2 (867) St james on Sunday 20th October.We bought around 20 items,one of which we had a price discrepancy.We questioned the Young lady serving about the price,and although the shop was very busy,she persevered with our request,we felt we were really being looked after and felt it was no trouble for the sales lady at all.She dealt with it all in a very Naturally professional way, and restored our faith in shopping in northampton. Thank you Millie and Home Bargains for your Good service.

Had an awful customer experience here today. Was shopping with my boyfriend, we put our stuff up on the till to be scanned. The lady serving us didn?t even acknowledge us or look up. Not even a ?hello?. Was talking to her colleague who was stood by her the whole time, just looking at her and it wasn?t even a work related conversation. Was so engrossed in her conversation that she didn?t ask if we needed a bag so we asked if we could have one half way through her scanning, which she then just responded with ?yeah? and gave to us. Think that was the only time she looked up at us throughout the whole interaction?then was just told ?£20? in which we payed and then she just handed us our receipt without a single ?goodbye? or anything. We felt absolutely invisible.
Clearly too bothered about having gossip with colleagues rather than serving. Seemed she wanted us payed and out as soon as possible so she could carry on talking as we couldn?t even keep up with putting things in our bag with how quick she was trying to get through scanning our things. Has really put us off going there again :/
