I bought an item form Northampton market, without receipt for saving tree and I thought they will send e-receipt to me . Today when I came for return that item store never refunded my money. I showed my bank transactions and time and was saying check your system I bought this item from your store but they said no we can?t do anything. So , Make sure you will ask for receipts when you are buying any item, otherwise you will lose your money. And staff has excuse and they will never lesson to you. And I think H&B should work on e-receipt so that people should get invoice from store ?.

I go to HB once in a while and the cashiers are always so nice. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience the last time. I ordered a product online and requested for collection there. As soon as I received a notification that I could collect it, I asked my partner to collect it for me because I was at work. The manager, this woman I believe her name is Alex told him my product had been collected. I went there the next day to know how was that possible. The cashier was super lovely and was by my side the whole time (I noticed she was afraid to say something in front of the manager, but she was telling me I was right when the manager went inside). Cant say the same thing about the manager. She told me my order was collected around 10am. I said it was impossible because I only received a notification to collect it at 12. Showed her the text and email (She was giving me this attitude of "I don't believe you"). The proof was there! She then proceed it to check CCTV in store. CCTV showed what I was saying was true! She then proceed to tell me she could not do anything because I collected the order. LOL I collected an order, magically, while I was at work and before I received a notification. The cashier was so embarrassed by her rudeness towards me. I said I would not leave the store without a product I paid for and I do not have, specially when I have all the proof that I don't. She then, in a rude way again told me "Ok, I will give you the product BECAUSE it is a cheap one" (It was a 5 pounds bar shampoo). Implying that if it was something expensive, I would not have my product AT ALL. I felt so disgusted and upset with what she said to me. I work in retail, I know that sometimes systems fail and someone might have pressed a button my mistake, whatever it was. So, I was expecting that her, with a manager position, she would know how to treat me and try to be helpful. I left the store to meet my partner outside but something in me wanted to go back inside and confront her. I entered with my partner, and asked if she did not remember his face, as he was the last client coming in the day before and he remembered it was her who attended him. Suddenly, her rudeness vanished and she proceed to tell me "I am so sorry, I have new staff and they probably did something wrong". I was shocked. I am a woman of colour, my boyfriend as well, until today I have no idea why she shifted her attitude as soon as my partner entered that door. I just know it was necessary for me to have a witness for her to apologise to me and to what she should have from the start. And, I have no idea if the reason why she treated me that way, was because of the colour of my skin. I hope that after that situation she is doing a better job being a MANAGER. You are supposed to give the example, if your staff sees you being like that, they will do the same to customers. Do better Alex.

Didn't have what I went in for but the friendly manager was very helpful , and found lovely alternatives thanks to his patient and considerate assistance, would recommend for good range and quality customer service from a knowledgeable and professional team. Well done guys?
