I don?t what has happened to this site it used to be ok. The toilets and showers are disgusting on the touring sites. The first night we were there my husband had to fix the water tap because it was about to pop off and water would have been leaking. Security stopped and gave him the 3rd degree but let him carry on! The irony was that they didn?t say anything to the travellers that had set up camp. One had a chest freezer plugged in but on the outside of the van. It was clear from the activity we saw and reported to the police that the site condone caravan theft. The travellers would disappear all day come back with yet another caravan in tow. 1 o?clock in the morning they would look over it and try a bunch of key?s until they got in the van. Next day it would disappear and another one would appear!!! Late at night after reception closed caravans would come on the field and disappear before reception opened ( security are you too frightened or are you being slipped a little bribe to ignore what is going on?) We didn?t go out anywhere as we were worried about leaving our property alone. Seriously it?s a joke!

The Riverfront lodges on this park are small compared to 'normal' sized lodges I have stayed in at other parks. They resemble a large 3-bed caravan, - maybe slightly bigger but a bit of a letdown after being spoilt by the 'proper sized' ones. The settee was showing signs of wear and could do with a clean, and was sagging a bit, but otherwise was fine. The Venue entertainment was a letdown the weekend with noisy karaoke singers murdering songs. Sitting outside was lovely with great weather and the marina lit up looking splendid. The Quay pub just outside the resort was also wonderful to sit outside. We were here for a week, me and two friends (male), and enjoy a few beers in the evening. The venue shuts early on Sundays, and from Monday to Thursday you have to go to the Willows which is open later. It is OK for a pint and some TV but could do with sprucing up a bit. THE FISHING We like to fish for a few hours on our holidays and are quite content to sit on the river catching not a lot until the teapot calls us! We did this on this site a few years ago and were not asked to pay. This year bailiffs approached us and asked for £5.00 I explained that I would expect to pay on the carp lakes, but not the river which needs no restocking, and hardly any maintenance. I also added that nowhere on the web page does £5.00 get mentioned. All the rules seem to relate to the lakes only. Anyway, the two bailiffs were very understandable and said things need to change with the rules and liaise more with the park. We would not have booked Billing had we known. The river by the way was plagued by crayfish and duckweed smothering the surface. The Nene valley is beautiful but Billing is not making the most of it.

We camped in a big group for a few days and had a great time! Lots of outdoor space for the kids to play and we really enjoyed the pool which was nice and warm. Big shout out to to staff members Keeley and Dawn who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and settled. We can't wait for next years camp!

Billing was as great as ever this year. The staff were amazing with us, especially keeley, also Dawn and her team went above and beyond for us and other guests. We had a great weekend as a family, made even better by the great staff!

This resort is reminiscent of Prepyat Fair, the abandoned funfair overlooking the polluted lake of Chernobyl. Apart from a recently-added facility (The Venue) in the centre (a little like the arrival of Chernobyl's Sarcophagus), there has been no investment in years; this is a sad, aging resort creaking under the weight of its own administration, poor hygiene - and the sort of guests that don't appear to care. Queues for the bar, with its '5 shots for the price of 4' promotions, went out of the door at The Venue. The Social Manager screamed inaudibly at the punters; his eyes seemed to be telling us that his heart couldn't take much more of this life. Immediately after eating The Venue?s supper, both kids needed the toilet for a number two. But with only two cubicles available for men - despite hundreds of patrons - wall faeces and sodden toilet rolls suggested to me that we may need to seek an alternative choice. So, in the effort to escape the onslaught of bingo, arcade machines and edgy drunkenness, we ventured outside. Here, smoking is so prevalent (no area for non-smokers appeared to exist - or at least, be respected) that I couldn't take the kids out for air. Approaching the back of the building (which also houses the swimming pool), the smell shifted from tobacco to the sweet waft of what appeared to be an unusual blend of pool chlorine and marijuana. We then walked past a fight in progress in our quest for a cleaner toilet. Did I mention it was only 9pm? During the day at The Venue, showers at the pool are not only open plan, but visitors need to physically walk through a very thin corridor of them (on each side) to access the pool -an uncomfortable and dingy walk through the dispersing bubbles and penises. The swimming pool itself, built recently, was decent, but chlorine levels were so high (presumably to delouse some of the visitors) that my bloodshot eyes could barely focus on the warning sign telling holidaymakers not to abuse the lifeguards. I mean...how many times did that happen before an official sign was needed? Back at the campsite, the toilets were decorated with a range of smells and colours that I've only seen in my worst nightmares. I mentioned nothing to the kids, but they physically held their noses each time to protect themselves from the overpowering stench. Of roughly 10 cubicles, literally every one was covered in faeces, making it impossible to usefully help my 5- and 7 year-olds. I watched as a father and son wearily tried each cubicle door with increasing disgust, before they apparently lowered their standards for a second pass; a retching noise filled the silence as one of them resigned himself to a selection. Meanwhile, standing in huge shallow yellow puddles at the steel urinal trough, a (smoking) gentleman beside me dropped his cigarettes into the drain - which was backed up with urine. No problem: he simply fished the packet out with his hand, shook it, and put the box back in his pocket. (Note: In three days, I saw only one other person wash their hands. But then, every sink in the bathroom was adorned with warnings not to drink the water and not to wash dishes here - so perhaps they were playing it safe.) Getting away from it all, the adventure golf was so dilapidated that I felt we were trespassing - paint peeled and wood had rotted to such an extent that I would have welcomed a free tetanus shot as a prize for completing the 12th hole. Perhaps it was all deliberate, and 2023 has a Chernobyl theme... At nigh time, the screaming, singing, and music continued well past the 11pm curfew, and well into the night. I had earplugs, but the kids weren't so blessed and suffered two sleepless nights. In summary, if you fancy exploring a holiday site frozen in time [the 1980's, just after No. 4 Reactor exploded], getting drunk and vomiting over yourself, or holding in your poo for days on end, I can thoroughly recommend Billing Aquadome. It really will leave an indelible memory. But if you've got kids, enjoy clean facilities, and expect a holida

After reading all the recent reviews we were worried about our camping trip - but we needn't have worried at all. Yes, there are spiders webs in some of the showers if you really look in the corners of the window frames, but the showers are in brilliant condition and are so clean! Yes the floors in the toilets get a bit grubby - but they're on a campsite! The site was also fully booked so we were prepared for noise as per other reviews - the only noise we suffered with was our own disgruntled 2 year old waking up at 1am! Not a peep from anyone else! There are lots of toilets and showers throughout the site, we booked an electric pitch and had two toilet blocks within a 2 minute walk from our tent. There is a small shop on site and a short walk out of the site will get you to a Chinese restaurant, Greggs, subway, premier shop, garden centre with a cafe and butchers and a fish&chip shop - so plenty on offer. On site was a fairground with really reasonably priced rides and a train that takes you on a loop of the lake. Also parks dotted about for the children to play on. The swimming pool was great, large shallow area for young ones and a large pool with a slide, the jacuzzi wasn't working but it wasn't a problem. The entertainment offered was great, we saw a BMX show that had been adapted due to naff weather, a raptors show and a magician - considering all that is going on with this site the staff were still giving 100%. We had a greayt time, it is exactly what you would expect from a holiday camp and I would recommend it if you want an easy camping trip.

Myself and my extended family booked a number of 'glamping' pods at the site. After seeing lots of negative reviews on the site we were all a bit worried it wasn't going to be great. We looked online to try and find out about the sizing of the pods and couldn't find much information. One part of 2 adults 2 children booked a pod and it was far too small. Luckily we booked a tent pitch also for them. The pods are the size of a small double bedroom. You can fit a double airbed with some room for luggage etc. If you add another airbed, it would be a snug fit - not sure you could add another. For me id say its perfect for a couple and maybe small child comfortably. The pods were nice and clean and felt fit for purpose. There is a radiator, a light and two plug sockets. There is a window in the door and at the back of the pod. It would be great if there was a curtain at least over the door glass to keep some of the light out in the early morning. The shower blocks were not bad - pretty clean. There are also wash basins for washing up on the outside. The only negative is the amount of spiders and cobwebs above your head whilst washing up. This could do with a jet wash or something each day. There are two shops on site - Nisa and another small shop that does some hot food options. Just outside the campsite there is a subway, petrol garage and fish and chip shop. We played the crazy golf, went to the fair / arcades - basic but great for the kids. The swimming pool was pretty good - the water felt lovely. You can shower there a bit more comfortably. It is cheaper to pay and add to the booking before hand than book when you get there. There are some swans and geese roming around much to the kids amusement - they wasnt a bother. Some of the reviews mentioned loud music and cars speeding around - we didn't experience any of this and had a peaceful sleep. They do food in the 'club house' and all had a breakfast which was o.k - could of been better. we did get a £10 off voucher on arrival, which worked out pretty good. The staff were all friendly - and so were a lot of the campers who stopped by our group for a chat. The entertainment was ok - nice to have something i guess. We saw a Cliff Richard tribute and there was a sooty show in the day. In the entertainment hall - again the spider webs and amount of spiders around the lights was a bit much. Someone needs to clean those areas in the day. It didn't bother us too much but it doesn't look great as obviously hasn't been cleaned. Overall id say this was a good cheap fun weekend for the kids. I do prefer a haven caravan holiday - but in the summer holidays you are looking at a few hundred more pounds. We spent just under £ 100 for 3 nights in the pod and it was well worth it. We didnt go into Northampton centre, but its pretty close by in the car. We would return for cheap laughs. Could be so much more with a few tweaks...

After reading many of the reviews we almost cancelled this trip, so glad we didn?t. We were three family?s camping, with children aged between 6-14 years old, all of which had a fantastic time. The site has lots to offer with a great indoor swimming pool which was immaculate when we visited and a fun fair which the children all loved. After reading many of the reviews I was hesitant to venture to the shower blocks/toilets but I was pleasantly surprised when I did; the toilets/showers are dated but were regularly cleaned. We didn?t go to the site entertainment on a night as we enjoyed having our own fun on the campsite, bbq and music are allowed until late into the evening which was great. If you are a Karen and Moan about most things I would avoid this site, however if you want a fun family/friends holiday where you can have fun without strict rules give it a go.

This site certainly has potential, however, at the moment it seems to have been neglected. The toilets and bin area were always dirty, although the toilets did get cleaned it was only basic and never a deep clean. The bins also got emptied, however, they only removed the top layer. The entertainment could be improved, its wasn't on for long and often got changed without warning. The swimming pool was lovely, it is a shame you have to pay for it, however, it was lovely and warm. The fun fair was great, not over priced. There are lots of things advertised on the website that are no longer on the site or just not working which was a shame. Over all the space was great for the kids to play and with a little TLC this could be a great site.

Just spent 4 nights in a Rivington Lodge, with 2 teenage grandchildren so i can not give an opinion on the camping facilities. I received a very nice welcome at the reception, with clear instructions how to find the lodge . The lodge was very clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. We used it as a base to explore further afield, we only visited the Venue a couple of nights for bingo, the staff there where very friendly. We did 2 escape room experiences next to the amusement park, the area it is based in looks almost derelict with no signage with opening times outside. Many of the units are obviously unused and the whole area looked very unwelcoming. We also did the crazy golf, again no signage to inform of opening hours. Around the site the bins where overflowing, maybe they need more, or emptying more often, and signage to exit the park was not very clear, and roads not marked to inform if they are one way only, and if so which way? These issues didn't spoil our stay, they where just points I feel could be improved on.

Just returned early from staying here with family and friends. Despite being assured that our holiday would still be going ahead following the site going into administration, there was a lot not running ie the Zorbing, Aqua park , pedolos and very poor entertainment mainly by the staff themselves. The Venue was filthy - we went once - with empty plates and food over the floor the whole 2/3 hours we were there. Bar staff very friendly. The site itself is very run down. The grass needs cutting and there needs to be proper pitch allocation otherwise you end up with people pitching far too close to you. The cleanliness of the whole site is absolutely awful. In the whole time we were there we didnt see any dustcarts with ground staff only ever half emptying the dust bins which meant they stank and there were so many wasps everywhere. The shower blocks need a proper clean - cobwebs, sanitary towels left for over a week, one on the floor, need a shelf / stool to help with showering and proper doors to stop kids running around opening them whilst you are showering! There were no dog bins or exercise areas for dogs and very few rubbish bins. We had an issue with a family staying on our area, having to call security at 0050am with noise, swearing and arguing. The same thing happened a day later yet still they were not asked to leave. Travellers also arrived! There needs to be proper pitch allocation to stop people camping so close especially those that cant abide by the 11pm no noise rule. The food at Shark island and the ice cream is very good. The train ride only goes around the lake and the Fun fair shuts at 6pm which is a great shame. The swimming pool is really nice but 3/5 ladies showers were freezing cold. There is an entertainment timetable but half of that was cancelled due to staff shortages. This site could be so much more and really profitable with proper management and vast improvements. Very disappointed.

Site is very run down, pitches very uneven and lots of divets and potholes on them. Toilets were disgusting. Cleaned once a day at best. Shower doors never locked or half the shower heads were missing. Disabled facilities basically non existant. If you?re a wheelchair user don?t bother. Funfair was ok. Swimming pool was clean and kids had a good time. No good at the venue and the pub outside didn?t serve food as kitchen was under refurbishment. Complained about disabled toilet as it wasn?t cleaned all week, also complained that the shower in the disabled toilet didn?t have a chair for someone to sit on. Only to be told, we?ve never had a chair in there. Disgusting attitude. For august this site was completely empty and I can see why. Only gave it two stars because we went with friends and made our own entertainment and swimming pool, fair and fishing lakes were ok. A lot of potential with this place but personally will never return and I would suggest you don?t waste your money as no one on site cares about your complaints.

Stayed here with my son for 3 nights camping, it?s got soooo much potential but looks like it?s gone down. They are falsely advertising the inflatables on the water but there is still abit of a fair, arcades, pool which is warm (maybe abit too warm) water slide, little park. Staff where friendly but it was not busy at all considering the size of the place, I?d happily buy this place and do so much with it. My son loved it which was the main thing so he gave it a 4stars. Entertainment was abit if a let down, I thought they would have more but it seemed to be bingo every night with special events on a couple times a month. Toilets/showers could do with a bit of an upgrade too. I?d go back but only for a few nights again.

We stayed for a long weekend in a pod, with family also in a caravan. The pool was great, but need to make sure you book your slot. Toilet block not the best, but showered after swimming so that was fine. Good options local are good, with greggs, green king pub for carvery and the cafe outside the garden centre opposite. The pod was one of the smaller ones, so I think can only sleep 3 really. Also the pod has an annoying light outside, that shines light in the pod, so I had to hang a dark towel or blanket over the door. Might be worth taking ear plugs if you don?t want to listen to people still up past midnight. Fair ground was great for our family kids aged 8-12. Shame no aqua park at the moment.
