The staff is very friendly and helpful ready to explain the different types of beds available and mattresses. Very knowledgeable and kind. Shop is as always welcoming, tidy and clean.

BED ORDER IS AN ABSOLUTE ONGOING FARCE....
My bed order has been an absolute ONGOING
FARCE from start to finish!! I ordered my bed from the Northampton store on 21st June 2025, I ordered a Sealy Divan with two drawers and matching headboard. This order took until 14th July to be delivered, some three weeks. When it arrived upon removing the packaging one of the sides of the divan with the drawers was badly damaged with wood protruding through the liner. I telephoned Bensons straightaway and was told it would be replaced and told to use the bed until then. I did point out that I could not use the bed with the protruding wood as it would damage my mattress and so I would be without a bed until a replacement came. I was given another date of 5th August, another 3 weeks later, however the day before, I received an email telling me the date had been moved to 13th August. I then rang Bensons, pointing out that I had waited 6 weeks to date for my bed, Bensons then tried to tell me they had left answer-machine messages telling me the delivery was postponed - which they certainly DID NOT. This was due to them not including the correct telephone number on my order, a fact I tried to put right three times with their Customer Service and Branch Manager, Lewis.
I again received an email saying my faulty bed was being collected/replaced on 19th August, i telephoned Bensons straightaway and was told it would not be delivered as promised on 13th August and that 19th August was my new date!!! I then asked them why they had again postponed the day before my delivery and was given more deluded statements of how they had been leaving messages on my answer-machine, which again, they most certainly HAD NOT!!!
I then told them to collect the whole divan and headboard and to refund my money, to which it was stated I would lose my delivery charge, which I will most certainly not. I have told them I want a FULL refund on my money as they have failed to DELIVER goods in a satisfactory condition and therefore I will not allow them to keep the delivery charge!! I have spoken to my bank whom will chase for me should the refund not be paid in full.....
I am a disabled lady in a powerchair, currently sleeping on my settee, where I had been for the last 8 weeks and counting due to the damaged bed!!
BENSONS have further told me that the whole divan/headboard, although hopefully collected on 19th August, will not be refunded until their customer service call me on 21st AUGUST!!!
I cannot even think of buying a new bed as I have no money until BENSONS refund me.
This company is a disgrace!!! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!

Paul offered to find our perfect bed firmness using the mattress tester, and based upon this advised on the best mattress for us to try. He was very helpful and informative and was not overly pushy, making us feel confident in our purchase. He also thoroughly explained the additional items and packages available for bed care once the mattress arrives.
