This church has a fascinating collection of objects relating to the village's association with the definitive battle of the C17th Century civil war, and to other curious moments in history. A huge hollow ball from King Henry VIII's time said to have held ale and been a war trophy which then became part of the church's previous stumpy spire, a table associated with Cromwell, a sword and stirrup from the famous battle... and more. The key is available from the shop opposite.
