Nice food, nice service. Place smelt a little bit musty, apart from that cannot fault the place.

no cheap but food is good service is quick and friendly. The whole place is an event not just a place to eat. The decor has been well done and gives you a lot to look at and experience. This is a place you will go back to. Love it. A reminder of a time gone but also a reminder of the events of WW2.

Not to my personal taste, but for history fanatics I'm sure this is a wonderful spot.
There are plenty of cakes, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks on offer. The cakes on the counter looked good. We had scones (I ordered a plain but was given a fruit one, and when I queried this was told 'you definitely said fruit'-I don't generally like raisins/sultanas so certainly didn't but no bother, it was quite tasty anyway) and they seemed freshly made and tasted great, but we'd have liked more jam and cream rather than sharing it. I like a large mug of coffee rather than a small teacup but it is a tea room after all. Saying that, looking at the other photo reviews on here I can see photos of lattes served in larger mugs so am not sure why mine was in a small teacup-I could've paid less for a far bigger coffee elsewhere.
Personally i wouldn't return but maybe I'm just not a sophisticated tea room type of person!
I imagine this would be a nice place to take an elderly relative for afternoon tea.

Excellent poached eggs on toast, loose leaf breakfast tea served in huge brown teapot and drunk out of lovely china teacups. Very efficient and friendly service. A great contrast to where we initially went, Hobson's Choice where we waited for 20 minutes to get in before giving up. Very glad we did leave as we could not fault our breakfast at The Blitz.

Love The Blitz. Took our son for lunch on his birthday. Baguettes and Ploughman's lunch. So tasty. Lovely staff and great atmosphere.
