Poor customer service from lady managers on duty 1st september afternoon

Absolute poor experience from the Wellingborough and kettering branch. Purchased Curtain Poles in the sale which were considerably cheaper than even homebase that's closing. I noticed the packaging had been opened and even asked the girl that served me at the weekend if I could return if there were any missing parts, to which she said yes. On installing found missing fixings as well as 1 having no bracket and the other having 2 smaller brackets which wouldn't fit. Visited the Kettering branch to be told I could only return for a refund and they wouldn't supply the missing brackets FOC. The young lady that served me was pleasant and friendly I must add but its no good returning when the holes are drilled and jobs half done. I put it down to the poor management of the store that when faced with a query should've at least had the decency to acknowledge either on the salesfloor or front end when I purchased said brackets and queries a second time!

The place to go for good ranges of curtains/bedding/homeware .
The depths of sizes and colours is comprehensive also incorporates a mezza deck of lighting/hardware along with a small cafe.
Always find things rather untidy and some of the aisles tend to rather narrow and the layout tends to wind in different directions.
They do have a useful store click/collect if you want anything specific.

Went for an in-store collection, ordered an hour before, arrived and clicked link in email, input store code and within 4mins the ordered items arrived.

Chocolate milkshake is disgusting, doesn't taste like chocolate. When I asked if she'd given the correct flavour the assistant said "yes, it's disgusting isn't it?" She did not give us a refund.

I bought a cushion (among other things) not realising it was dirty until I had got home and taken the tag off the next day! Ok so you should wash items before use them anyway but not buy them dirty! They would have known this product was marked but still left it on the shelf! Please check your item even to ensure it's properly sealed before you purchase. They will let you walk out with a damaged item if you have not noticed it.
They will also put bent items on the shelf (not even in the special offer aisle); noted when I bought a bathroom storage rack. My son repaired it. They do not care a jot as they know that customers sometimes do not notice (like I didn't!) and then wasn't able to bring it back. Bagged duvets are also split open and dirty. I looked at around six duvets before I found an unopened one. I do not know what is going on with Dunelm. It used to care how items are displayed but they couldn't care less.
PS Check out the really grubby pillow sample to the left of the store just past the bedding. Looks disgusting! Bedding. Rugs area! What an untidy dump! Dunelm? More like Dump-elm! One star because it won't let me put no stars.
