The family really wanted fish and chips and we stumbled across this fantastic pub.
First and foremost, the service was excellent. From the greeting, service to good-bye, everyone we interacted with were lovely. A real credit to the establishment.
The kids and wife ordered fish and chips and I ordered the roast chicken. Everyone was very happy with what they got and had clean plates.
The chicken was moist and delicious. The fish and chips had a lovely thin batter and the tartare sauce was great.
The apricot, banana split and cookie puddings were great and very creative.
Overall, a great pub, with quality food and friendly service. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Used to Work/Run/Live in this place about 16 or so years ago when i was about 20. What a cracking little place it was, and by the looks of it still is. Haven't been back since we left but, wow i loved this place and the locals there. Great little garden party we had one time at a house just up the end of the street. We had some great times in that pub, and a few banged noggins in the older part of the building with the low ceilings. Glad to see its still open. Ran quite a few in that area at the time, The Red Cow Market Harborough, also still open. Dolphin Inn Stamford sadly now gone, and plenty of others now which have disappeared. Maybe one day ill be able to get down from Yorkshire and pay The great Oakley Arms a visit, and of course the Muntjack Too! Keep up the good work.

Went for a roast, absolute nothing wrong with, really tasty but for the for the price I would want something that took it above a normal roast that I can get at any other pub which unfortunately this was not

Family down from Scotland so 4 of us dined here. All the food was excellently cooked and was very tasty. Could not fault the meals which made the evening such a success. Will definitely return.

What a find! The food was absolutely stunning ? beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The menu is refreshingly different, with loads of tempting meat and fish options. The lobster ravioli starter? Next level ? I?m still thinking about it. Cocktails were spot on too.
The vibe is warm and welcoming, and the team couldn?t have been lovelier ? friendly, attentive, and clearly love what they do. This place is a total gem. Can?t recommend it enough ? we?ll 100% be back

This place was so amazing from the staff member Lily who accomadated us today to the incredible food. Took my husband for an early bday meal and we chose to start with Rabbit stew followed by the beef wellington the meat on this dish was cooked impeccably. And hubby chose baked alaska and for me creme brulee for our desserts both exquisite. We also had some cocktails the rhubarb and custard was glorious thanks to Lily making this one definitely 1 of my fave cocktails now. We will definitely be back here. Everything was perfection.

We had a fantastic team lunch here for 24 people, and everything was absolutely standout. Kirsty and her team looked after us so well, even on a busy, sunny Friday before the May bank holiday. Communication with Lizzie beforehand was super easy ? the team put together a bespoke menu for us which was perfect and catered for all our dietary needs and allergens without any fuss, including vegan and vegetarian guests.
The food was 10/10 ? a beautiful Ottolenghi-style buffet with some really exciting options. We enjoyed lamb koftas, celeriac skewers, chicken wings, topped focaccia, and some delicious, veg-centric salads. Everything was full of flavour, clearly made with top-quality, seasonal produce like Fen Farm cheese (yum). The sweets were unreal and presented beautifully ? a real highlight, especially if you love rhubarb (I do!).
The setting is lovely too. There?s no car park due to the location but plenty of space to park on the high street. We had Teapigs tea and coffee afterwards, which was just as nice, and the garden was set up so beautifully in the shade with flowers on the table ? a really thoughtful touch.
Very glad we found this gem. We only wish we were a little closer, as we?d love to return more often! Would highly recommend for a special occasion ? or simply just because.

Our group had an amazing experience here - we were in the area for a work trip and booked for a group of 20+ and they accommodated us beautifully. With delicious options, including vegan! The food was all top quality. Josh and Kirsty, our servers, were attentive, friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend for anyone in the area!

Only complaint would be that the menu was slightly limited so it would be good if there was a little bit more on offer.

Great service, great food and a really lovely ambience. Gluten free and dairy free options available also, which is great if you require this.
No faults at all, we will be back again.
