Outstanding experience. A few highlights:
- genuine and warm welcome;
- staff who were fully aware of the allergies we had mentioned beforehand and who were able to suggest alternatives to dishes to accommodate;
- beautiful grounds and a children's play area for our toddler;
- extremely accomplished food

Felt so disappointed to arrive a 2pm declaring we were keen to eat and eat outdoors, to be told we had to wait for an outdoor seat which we did. When a table became free at 2.40pm we?re told food would no longer be served outside due to a full restaurant. ?????

We went bank holiday Monday for my 70 th birthday, the range of gluten free choice is very good , my husband had gf fish and chips starter and dessert both gf
The food was very good , staff polite and friendly, would highly recommend, the pub is set in a lovely location with too

Customer service was impeccably with lively friendly staff. Views from outside were outstanding. Sunday roast was just average but would go back for drinks or to try from their main menu

The place is Lovley! Giving its old fashion look, the staff was Lovley but the price of drink was extremely expensive! I ordered 1 guiness and it came up to 7.85! You need to take a life savings out !

Great pub/restaurant. Lovey way to end an interesting evening after the Warner's Farm Gin Tasting & Tour. Lovely food well presented, attentive staff. I can recommend the Shin of Beef and the Burgers.

Wonderful Sunday Lunch. Great beef, monster yorkshire, bucket o' gravy, and lovely roasties and pickled cabbage. And super friendly service.

Stopped for lunch and as usual the pub and food didn?t disappoint. We both ordered fish and chips (mine was gluten free) and GF onion rings. The GF items took a little longer to cook as they had to heat the dedicated fryer but we were happy to wait. Service was excellent despite being busy for a Monday lunchtime. Would highly recommend and will definitely return again soon.

Fabulous stop off for us, traveling the Shropshire, Suffolk commute regularly. An amazing pub just off the A14. We have called in three times now and received the same very warm welcome. Staff are exceptional, along with the food and beauty of breaking a journey in a beautiful old establishment. Dogs just as welcome as humans. Advisable to ring ahead in busy periods. Cannot fault. Thank you and see you all again soon.

I had haddock & chips. Unfortunately the haddock wasn?t good. It was thin piece of fish, not of good quality at all. I was surprised as I was told the fiid was very good there.

A most wonderful pub for dinner on a Saturday night. Great atmosphere, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and the food and wine were excellent. Couldn?t fault our evening in any way. We will be back!

First time my husband and I visited this evening and we were really pleased. Couldn?t fault the food and all the staff were welcoming and friendly.
