China House...more like Vinegar House, whatever sauce you have seems like a very vinegary sweet and sour sauce. Worst kung-fu po ever...vinegar all the way through. Driver thought I was going to to tip him after making me wait hour and a half for this tasteless, sour cack..I didn't. Never, ever again. Lesson learned!

Wouldn?t recommend to anyone really. We ordered from here as opposed to our usual as none of them were open and we had a craving! Before we even had it home, I left the takeaway and within seconds was called back in as they had to ?check my order?. They did so and gave it back to me. I left and got to my car about 3 minutes later, and found them calling me to say they?d given me the wrong order and I had to bring it back. So I go back and they give me my order finally. Our order: kung po king prawn, egg fried rice, beef chow mein, crispy chilli shredded beef, plain noodles, spring roll and prawn crackers. First off, every single dish was some how flavourless, yet tasted the same?? The kung po was definitely just sweet and sour, as was the crispy chilli beef. The crispy shredded beef was pure batter, there was no beef to be found in it, which was the same for the beef chow mein. Not even soy sauce helped bring out any flavour. Overall very very disappointing, you?d get more flavour from cardboard drenched in soy sauce. That?ll teach us for straying from the usuals!

Just wish they could get your order rite every now and then.
So many times it's delivered wrong.
Staff are friendly be warned they add 20p on your order for bag.

recently ordered from The China House and was impressed by their exceptional customer service. I have a low tolerance for spice and requested a non-spicy vermicelli dish, which they were able to accommodate without any issues. The vermicelli was cooked to perfection, and the flavours were delicious without being overpowering. I will definitely be returning for more of their dishes. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a customizable and tasty Chinese takeaway option.

Amazing food! I have tried so many Chinese takeaway in daventry ,it is definitely best Chinese I can get in daventry,the chili salt box is so nice and get lots of meat,will order again!

Our order from China House tonight has to be the worst of all time, although the customer service received when I called them was on a whole different level. By far the most shocking you could imagine - argued that we were wrong when we said the food was bland, questioned if the food had been touched? The food was on the plate ! How would you know if the food was bland if you hadn?t tasted it ?
Kept interrupting on the phone. Eventually offered to come and collect the food to test and see if we were correct? so they expected us to put the food back in the container and seal etc for them taste
They offered to refund the dishes if they agreed after a 10 minute call
We had to terminate the call in the end as they had no interest in resolving?

Best Chinese takeaway in Daventry in my opinion!

I've had a lot of chinese food from around the UK and Europe and this is by far the worst I've ever had. The chicken curry was the worst I've ever tried. The chicken was so soft and mushy I'm certain it was boiled. The extra curry sauce for the chips tasted awful and cheap. Definitely not fresh. More like cheap factory bulk. The chips were undercooked oven chips - uneatable. There were more onions and peas than anything else. The chicken fried rice was flavourless and not well seasoned. The chow mein tasted awful, the noodles were the only thing close to flavour and we could tell it wasn't fresh either. We stopped eating all 3 dishes after a few mouthfuls, the food just tasted so bad and dodgy.

Very good Cantonese style food especially the prawn toasts, chilli salted ribs and the various chow meins. I avoid any sweet and sour sauces though as it doesn't taste or look home made at all.Love the chilli salted box sharer starter for a lazy supper.I always collect too for maximum freshness.

This is not just the worst Chinese I've had in Daventry, it's also the worst chinese I've ever had in my life. The sweet and sour chicken looked like small chicken nuggets covered in a thick galatinous slimy yellowish bland 'sauce'. The egg fried rice had almost no egg in it. The other dishes were equally as slimy and horrible.On the positive side it was delivered relatively fast but I wish I hadn't ordered as it mostly went in the bin.
