Excellent service and meal was exceptional. Value we thought was worth it for the meal we had. Staff were very friendly and Tom and Rebecca (Hopefully got the names right). Very friendly and informative concerning food as my wife is gluten free. Will definitely come back again and will recommend the Chequered Flag to friends and family. Ricardo

The atmosphere within the pub is amazing, great service all around from friendly staff.
Can recommend to anyone who is looking for a cheap yet worthwhile meal and a drink.
Dog friendly too which is always a bonus!

Food portions were huge, to much to eat so alot went to waste

Went in for 1 drink on Christmas day, bar staff started to serve us then we were approached by another woman, she didn't greet us or even say hello. She seemed to come across a little rude. She just asked, do you have a booking? I replied with a no and was asked to leave.
What I didn't understand was why were the bar staff happy to serve us without saying about bookings and we didn't see anything to say a booking was needed. Then to be spoke to that way was poor service.

Always a lovely atmosphere and great food. Have now taken the dog with us and they were amazing with him, very dog and family friendly. Take your £1 coins for the kids, ours loves the little claw machine.

It was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were all really pleasant and smiley, which is hopefully showing it is a lovely work place as well. The food was delicious and really well priced.
Vegetarian options: I had the vegetable lasagne which was lovely.
