Basin in bathroom loose , no hair dryer when says there would be ,shower door needs sorting ,apart from that lovely room and friendly staff beautiful place to eat and beautiful place to have lovely party ? ? ?

Castle Sleeper ist kein Hotel, sondern nur auf Übernachtungen ausgerichtet. Es gibt dort kein Frühstück oder Mittagsessen Abends kann man die Strasse überqueren und im Restsurant Castle Inn Essen und trinken. Dort muss man auch einchecken, da Castle Sleeper unbemannt ist. Die Zimmer sind ok, aber nicht für einen längeren Aufenthalt eingerichtet

Authentic excellent quality Italian food served by thoroughly nice staff. You can sit by a fire or dine in the conservatory. Great open to view pizza oven! I recommend The Castle and we will certainly be dining there again.

Stayed here for two nights whilst attending a wedding in the village. The place is a bit of a shambles to be perfectly honest, there were a number of issues during my stay which I feel could have easily been avoided with more competent management.The 'highlights':- There was no one there to check me in when I arrived. Fair enough it's a small business you can't be there at all hours but at least communicate this to guests when they make a booking...- I was given conflicting information about breakfast being available - initially I was told this was not possible but then received several phone calls later on asking me if I wanted breakfast. All a bit strange and confusing.- The room itself did not appear to have had a 'deep clean' in some time, there were cobwebs, dust and crumbs on the surfaces.- I was left a note in my room asking me to pay for an extra night even though I'd paid for my two nights upfront in cash. Apparently I'd told them on arrival that actually I was only staying for one night (I didn't!) and therefore they were expecting me to check out after the first night. All very odd, I can only put it down to complete lack of communication between staff or perhaps it was some bizarre (and unsuccessful) attempt to trick me into giving them more money.I spoke to a few others staying there that weekend for the same wedding and all of them had similar issues. Lucky we were all in good spirits and could have a laugh about it!In terms of positives, it was a convenient location to crash and it was cheap - definitely a case of getting what you pay for though and I would certainly never stay there again.

Very nice, few different areas to sit, had a chicken roast with all the trimmings very tasty, nice rooms for dining, long bar, staff friendly and helpful. Varied menu of starters mains and desserts. Our meals were hot, vegetables cooked to perfection, roast potatoes were fantastic, lots of chicken too.

I needed somewhere to stay at the last minute and this place came up, very reasonably priced. I wasn?t expecting a lot, but the rooms were amazing, TV, shower, tea and coffee facilities etc. The shower was great, the bed was so comfortable. The owner was such a lovely lady and would go out her way to make your stay more comfortable if it needed to be. Very, very, very impressed. And meet her dog Marlo! Beautiful! Thanks so much Castle Sleeper and Inn. Great Stay!
