We went to Argos today in Corby to get some weightlifting gloves, and I liked that there were options to either pre-book via our phones or through their tablets; we looked through, and there were fourteen gloves that matched our needs when we finished paying through the machine and within a few minutes we were able to collect it. The product isn't too good, but it fits our current needs. It felt a little cheap compared to the money we paid for. It's a good store but sometimes needs to be careful of the quality of products; if you know the brand well, then you're good to use this; if you don't, then it's a bit of a gamble.

No issues with Argos itself, I spend thousands a year with them.However, I've returned two items to this particular store over the last couple of years, and on both occasions there was a problem where they shouldn't have been, with the same woman trying to reject returns.Both times the same woman here has attempted to refuse a refund on electricals that have packed up within 12 months, in line with the Argos guarantee.The first time it was was a ring doorbell that I'd had about a week.Initially I wanted my money back as was quite surprised it had failed so quickly, but she said I could only have a replacement or a voucher to spend in store, Despite it being faulty.I went with the replacement as decided I needed the doorbell, and the replacement was fine.I was annoyed at this though as I was well within my rights to get a full refund and she had rejected it.When it came to a refund about a year later on a lawnmower that had died after 10 months she refused saying I need to contact the manufacturer .She then tried to Palm me off with a voucher again but I was having none of it.The manufacturer as she called it was McGregor which basically is a Chinese import brand specifically for Argos ,so in other words its the same company .One call to customer services in the car park, went back in and she immediately backed down and gave me my money back.This was only after interrogating my receipt and debit card, as they have a policy to only refund the card you used to make the purchase with, which Incidentally infringes consumer rights. No doubt if it was a different card she would have forced the voucher on me. When i went on the first time she was on her own, when I went back there were other staff about, so I made sure they knew she had tried to decline a refund in line with Argos terms.I was really annoyed as it was pouring with rain outside, literally a storm came out of no where about 5 minutes prior. I was in and out of the shop with a big heavy broken Chinese lawnmower, juggling it about around cars and their car park which is busy, Where you have to cross passing cars . I got soaked. Twice.Absolutely no need for jobsworths like this in this day and age, as any one with a bit of savvy will make sure they don't get away with it.Argos , if you want less returns stop selling cheap Chinese imported rubbish

It is a catalogue store. Choose from a catalogue and pick up from counter in-store if in stock.. if not then it can be ordered and picked up within days. It can all be done online and you will be notified when you can pick up the order. A great system.

Came here today to pick up a bath and shower set. The woman on the door was extremely rude to me. It was mid afternoon about 3ish. No thankyou no smile just a totally bad attitude. Sort your employee's out argos.

Some joke! I bought an oven, I paid for Argos to connect me and take the old one. They didn't connect because they can't because the old one is not disconnected. They were supposed to do it! They changed the delivery day without asking if Do I agree to it. I waited 40 days for delivery and he just brought it and nothing else! Terrible company and pathetic obslufa. Never buy again from argos, the worst place there is! I do not recommend anyone!

Got a text to tell me my item was ready so I went in forgetting my Argos card. The two guys at the till refused to serve me thought I gave them all details needed. Came back later with my card and no one asked to see my card. A little common sense goes a long way. No need for that hard-line approach.
