Dirty glasses, dirty cutlery, sour milk in coffee. The staff were pleasant enough and the food was nice but all let down by the cleanliness issues. Chairs had dirt and hair caught at the back, glasses had lipstick marks, stains and cloudy. Cutlery still had remanence of food on from previous use. things were washed but washed poorly, maybe an overloading of a dishwasher..

I visit the Spencer Arms with friends every now and again, and each time we do, we find the customer service, food, atmosphere, and overall authenticity to be exceptional. The menu is well-organised, and there is ample seating both indoors and outdoors, along with convenient parking facilities, especially for the bikes. The facilities, including the restrooms, are well-maintained, and the establishment appears to be well cared for.
The prices are reasonable given the portion sizes, and the friendly staff greatly enhance the experience.
Overall, I would recommend this pub as a welcoming and enjoyable venue, particularly suitable for motorbikers.

I have been to several GK pubs and I did not have a good experience on my recent visit. I found the staff unwelcoming (blonde female). The younger dark haired female was friendly however. My chicken in bbq sauce (supplied in pan) was so overcooked, it was beyond dry and like chewing on a rubber sole. I was so disappointed, especially with the welcome I had too. I have just been to an amazing Green King pub in Ross on Wye where the staff were amazing and the food was perfect. It doesn?t take much to cook food properly and be friendly to paying guests ???? It wasn't busy. No excuse.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Served by Kath and Bib who were so lovely and very helpful. Lovely food, quick service and a wonderful atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Lovely pub with attentive staff. Food was delicious. We had the pork terrine and feta cheese as starters, and the toad in the hole and fishcake for mains. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you Libby, Leah and Paula.

Was gifted Chef & Brewer vouchers for Christmas, so chose to visit Spencer Arms for mid week meal.
Honestly couldn't fault the place, warmly welcomed, spotlessly clean , good menu , delicious food, great selection of drinks & top class friendly service, many thanks Holly & Paula .Highly recommend.

We had a great time thanks to our servers Paula, Collette, Chloe, Katy, and KC. This team was on top of everything, making sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. They were all so charismatic and made our whole dining experience very enjoyable. We really appreciated their teamwork and positive energy! See you next time.

We ordered our starter waited 40 minutes and still no show. Then the lady on the table next to us complained half way through her starter because she had not got the starter she ordered. No she had mine. Then my wife's starter arrived . She had finished her 10 minutes before my replacement even arrived. The lady serving us apologized and deducted my starter from the bill. Then my main course arrived supposed to be Steak pie with a puff pastry top please see the photos. There was ONE piece of steak and the top was not puff pastry but burnt and dry. Portion sizes very small for the price. Please see photo of the Description of my meal and compare it to the photo.

I have taken my time to do this review. Mainly because I am extremely angry. While the nearby road was closed we supported this business by coming out of our way to visit. The majority of the time the food was very good. However this time the service and food were quite frankly shocking.
I have ordered the same item a number of times , the Butternut squash grill steak. This arrived with no butternut squash and the veg in the plate had not seen a grill. We complained only to be told it was cut backs , on further complaints to another member of staff , butternut squash was bought out in a bowl (steamed or boiled) the first lady then come out and said she hadn't email cut backs and that was how it was. Despite multiple people having heard her. Rude and obnoxious seemed to be her mantra. Eventually they gave us the meal free, but we will not be back and urge others not to go until this appealing woman is removed from this establishment.
