We went out of our way to visit the workhouse and it was worth it. A beautiful building from the outside with interior just as lovely. Good coffee, amazing food and the sweet treats we took home with us were 10/10 too. Super quick and polite service despite it being really busy. It?s a shame you can?t book a table as we almost weren?t able to grab one and some parasols or awning to cover the tables outside would be good for rainy days.

What a lovely cafe!
I took my mum here for the first time and we both had such a lovely experience. The food and drinks were fantastic, really good value for money. The lady who served us was very welcoming & helpful. She gave my mum recommendations on a coffee that doesn?t have a typical coffee taste and she loved it. I asked her name I think it was Carman she has curly hair. It was very nice to have personal recommendations and not feel rushed. We will definitely be returning, thank you.

?????????? A Delicious Little Indulgence
Workhouse Coffee Shop in Brixworth is an absolute gem ? a haven for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for a properly brewed cup of coffee. Their cakes and pastries are nothing short of divine ? flaky, rich, and clearly made with care and top-notch ingredients. Each visit feels like a decadent little escape.
The coffee itself is solid ? strong, smooth, and satisfying, though yes, your wallet may feel a slight sting. But honestly, for the quality and atmosphere, it?s worth the occasional splurge.
Now, let?s be honest ? the crowd can lean a little Downton Abbey meets Instagram influencer at times. There?s a definite air of posh pretentiousness that floats through the room, but if you can tune out the low hum of posh farmer types or private school friends it?s actually quite a cozy, welcoming spot.
All in all, a lovely place to treat yourself. Come for the cakes, stay for the coffee ? and maybe bring a good book to drown out the background murmurs of unsolicited opinions on organic oat milk.

What an absolute gem of an eatery!
Visited on a busy Sunday afternoon and we had the most fantastic service. The lady at the counter was so patient with our indecision over the many choices of sweet treats! So delicious! We live nowhere near but will be back, it was that good!

This was where me and my partner went on our first date on 1st November 2023. It was a great place for a date. Quiet enough to talk and get to know each other. Coffee was lovely, I had a cake which was lovely and a huge portion so I couldn?t actually finish it!
Would definitely recommend it. It?s a bit far out for us to come regularly but I am thinking of booking in for the 2 yrs from our first date.

Prob won't go again. Taken over by Dogs. On chairs and seen on tables.
What a shame.
I'm not anti dog, just antiinconsiderate owners. There must be hygiene issues here.
