Although we have often stopped off for a drink this was the first time we have eaten at The Griffin & from arrival to departure it was excellent thank you. The friendliness and service from the staff was lovely and the food was nicely cooked and lovely and hot. We can highly recommend it.

We have just visited The Griffin for the 1st time, will not be our last! Had the over 6ps 3 course lunch, it was superb. Hot & tasty with wonderful service. Really couldnt fault 10/10 5?

Amazing great quality food at very reasonable prices. I recommend for lunch the warm beef baguette which comes with French fries and salad. Plentiful at £6.95. Good beer and friendly customer service. Keep up the good work guys!

Sunday lunch is okay price but not much tatse and no real roast potatoes instead they are wierd air cooked new potato's.small dining area mostly full of locals.not one i would re visit sadly.parking has room for about 3 cars.

The Vegetarian beetroot Wellington was excellent. Vegetables were perfectly cooked. We were a large party and we all enjoyed our meals. Waitress was friendly and helpful.

Excellent food, great service, fairly priced. The fillet steak with crevetes cooked in garlic butter was phenomenal as was the steak and ale pie. Kelly was friendly, attentive and efficient. A lovely lunch and we'll be back soon!

Booked a dog friendly table, there is also a lovely dining room at the back. It was Tuesday and pie night. They are served with a choice of flavoured mash, we had colcannon and 2 dishes of very tasty and fresh vegetables....cauliflower cheese, carrots, red cabbage, long stem brocolli. This is all included plus a drink each. Have a dessert, they are worth it. Amazing value, very friendly service and full of original features.

We went there as a group of about 20. We had given our orders in advance but the service was appalling. Had to wait a really long time for each course. Food was passable. The cold dessert was brought out on hot plates and most people had finished theirs before their companions was brought out. After waiting for ages we had to remind them that we had ordered tea and coffee. This was brought out one at a time and most people had left by the time the last one was served. There only seemed to be 2 young kids looking after everything. It was also very cold in the room.
