We do love the Lamport, the location has one of the best vista's. in Northamptonshire and the variety of food and drink is to be comended.
We've been many times now, but this last time the food was incredibly salty to the point some of the meal was inedible.
It shan't deter us though, we'll be back

We only popped in for a drink, but will definitely return again for some food as it looked great, lovely outdoor seating in the garden area, I was curious about an IPA they serve, the barman let me try some before buying a pint, I thought that was decent of him. Quite expensive, but its a nice place, a higher end establishment. No riff raff ??

Over priced and not the best quality. Of the 8 things they have on the main menu only 5 were available.
3 times I've been there and should've learned my lesson but have this time.

Dining with friends on Saturday night for my birthday. The food was ok although it had clearly been stood under the heat for quite a while waiting to be served. The presentation of the food was disappointing. The service was terrible. There appeared to be one person waiting on, however the restaurant was very quiet so I could see no reason to wait 40 minutes to be served; another 15 minutes to have the table cleared; another 15 minutes for a child?s dessert to be served ?straight away?, even when we were the only table occupied. The adults gave up on dessert/coffee and went home for some instead. We live close to the Swan and have eaten there many times, but the standard has gradually been slipping and sadly we won?t be visiting again.

Yesterday evening, three friends and I visited The Swan for an early evening dinner. The setting is exquisite, overlooking a beautiful valley amidst the undulating hills of Northamptonshire. We hadn't been for several years as the food and service had been indifferent hitherto. This time, however, our server, Evan, transformed our experience. Nothing was too much trouble for him in accommodating our choice of table preference to answering questions on the menu. He was both attentive and patient without being obsequious. The menu was reduced but sufficient to satisfy each of our palettes. All in all, a delightful evening.

Evie, you went above and beyond to care for our guests and us, with such kindness and professionalism we didn?t want for a single thing. We felt so looked after, so special, and completely spoiled thanks to you both. We are deeply grateful to have had such a wonderful team by our side and will always remember the love and joy you helped create. Big love and heartfelt thanks from us both.

Came to celebrate my 60th birthday. We had a large family party of 19 people. The restaurant accommodated us with ease and arranged pre ordering due to the size of our group. This was all dealt with online and was very simple to organise. We had a fantastic meal with good quality food and drinks. A good time was had by all. Would happily recommend. Thank you to the team for my my day special.

Friday lunchtime stopped for food , both me and my partner wanted fish and chips, however they only had one fish and chips?! So I had to have something else which left me feeling ill the rest of the day I might add! Also, requested to have peas not minted..apparently that?s not possible, very overrated and not worth the money.
