I went to look for a specific book for a gift and asked the staff if they had it. They were friendly, professional and efficient. I then had a browse around the shop - which is in a beautiful old building - and found another couple of great children's books as gifts. Fabulous children's area, a new books section and a super selection of old books all in different rooms. There were some cards, notelets and a lovely selection of wrapping paper. What a find - I will definitely be returning to The Old Hall Bookshop.

Fantastic independent bookshop. A real gem for our town. Such a lovely space to browse for new and second hand books. The cosy interior make this place charming to display books, with different rooms of the old house to explore. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They can order anything in for you.

I love this little indie book shop and have spent many hours gazing at the shelves, looking at books.
Help is available if required. They also stock beautiful wrapping paper, cards & book related gifts.

Absolutely love this bookshop.
Nice, friendly, clean and well stocked independent place.
Ordering a book is no problem and is a quick service with notification of when it arrives and is ready for pick up.
They have a select stock of quality used and collectible books too.
They were even able to find me an out of print book that my dad had been looking for, for ages.
I love going in and rarely leave without opening my wallet!!!

I love this place. An independent bookshop with a great mix of previously owned and collectable books, all categorised by category or interest. A section on local interest books as well as children's and adults new books. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and you can also send back certain returns there.With independent bookshops becoming endangered it's really great to have a local one of this calibre. Recently when I went in I was able to find a limited print book for £30 cheaper (and in better condition) than online so it's a place that is really well worth a look at if you like books.
