They do not let canal users fill up with water AT THE WATER POINT because clearly their business is far more important than anyone else. For a canal business, not very canal-friendly.

This charming little boat + garden is about an hour's walk away from Daventry, following the Grand Union Canal path. If you leave at around 9am and arrive at the lucky hour when fresh scones are just ready, trust me you'll feel well rewarded ?

Love this cafe we found on the canal, only open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Fabulous cakes the wait for Sunday breakfast was an hour hence the cake but it was Father?s Day, very busy at times so Be prepared for a wait, dog friendly and lots of tables in the garden next to the canal

Unfortunately I have to give a poor review for not great coffee and almost an hour to serve two bacon rolls. The bacon rolls were fine however. We ate in the garden.

Lovely little hidden Gem

Having seen The Gongoozlers Rest Cafe boat on numerous vlogs and in magazines it was great to actually be there for breakfast this morning, it didn't disappoint! Great food, great staff, great value.

Called in here witn excited grandchildren yes they were busy no greeting or politeness ignited us and served people queuing outside who arrived after us in thd end we walked off. I wouldn't of minded if they said sorry will he with you soon but no just glares. Been b4 but it' must be different owners very sad.
