I visited this store with a friend in hopes of finding some niche items. We did find some niche weapons luckily.Reading the reviews, you can see that the reviews slate the staff within the establishment... A lot. I can understand why but do not agree 100% with them. The staff we met, were knowledgeable about the franchises the items were from. Customer service skills may not be trained within this business, but the staff are still supportive and happy to help. The male present, behind the counter, was a bit ostentatious at times and very very aggressive when we were discussing series, him taking offense to an opinion turned into a one sided debate. My friend however, had lovely conversations with him, so I am happy my friend was at least given a good experience.Despite this! The selection on offer was really impressive compared to other similar stores I've visited within the UK. The shop is small so they do well with the space they have, but I urge people to visit during off peak hours so you can properly take everything in.All in all, I can see why they have been in business this long and continue to thrive.Online aspect;Website is straightforward, could use improvements. But this can be overlooked as they are thorough with their categories and sections.

Let me start by stressing something, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP.I purchased a frostmourne sword from them during a visit to York, it was delivered about a week later which I was very happy with.Upon unpacking I discovered the sword had a large crack that continued into a hairline crack that continued for a few inches. Far too bad to ignore so I set about arranging for a replacement.1) Rang them no answer2) Messaged them on the website, no response3) Messaged them on Facebook, no response4) Rang them no answer so left voicemail, no callback5) Messaged them on Facebook again, no responseThis was over the space of over a week, there really is no excuse for any of this. In the process of trying to ring them again, it's looking more and more like this will be another small claims court situation.So to summarize they sell defective goods (As other reviews have shown) and then ghost the customer.AVOIDUpdate: Finally spoke to someone, couldn't even find me in their systems! My bank records say otherwise so good luck disputing this. Will be getting back to me after speaking to admin.Second Update: I did send the sword back, I did get a replacement. I would however not use this shop again due to the dreadful service I received.

Friendly staff, always a fun place to purchase a sword. ?? Been going here since I was a child - 20 years later I?m coming back even few months.

Can't review the products as I didn't get a chance to buy anything. Drove 1.5hours to come to this shop as it said on google they close at 7pm. Got there as they were closing up at 18:15, they told me they open again tomorrow at 10am - I won't be making a return journey.

Awesome shop! As soon as I saw the shop front while on a trip to York, I knew that nostalgia and my love of films were going to hurt my wallet...I bought 2 LOTR swords from the store after a nice long chat with the super friendly, specialist staff,while I was in York and have since bought the sword of Omens via their online shop. Super happy and quality products!

Extremely poor service. Lies about sending item, spent weeks regaining refund. Emails and phone calls are useless as ignorance is an obvious traitI'd be very careful... I was informed the certain blades were forged by themselves? As a blade Smith there are signs of firging that are NO WAY present on the blades they demonstrated

Robin hood daggerstated on the site personal opinion they is many robin hood daggers out there not the original copy but I will say this is not a bad review as a collector this is a nice dagger I was unsure on buying from this site because of all the negative bad comments on the customer service and the staff I got mine delivered I got it within three days from one city to another it was nicely packaged and boxed it is not sharp it's only for show and also it is well balanced which I was surprised on tbh I will say this though from the other comments on here the law is the law and the shop has to follow 141A of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 if you are on the electoral roll it is easier for the shop to prove you are over the age of 18 and you do get asked for identification on the delivery of the items all in all I like this dagger go well with my collection one happy customer will order again hoping it will be the same good service I got from this order.Thank you ?

Brilliant place. Knowledgeable and responsible staff with good awareness of health and safety, with a clear passion for what their products. A lot of reviews here talking badly about the staff?. Sure, they are little quirky? but what do you expect with a quirky shop! Don?t take it personally. A good experience overall. Worth a visit.
