Visited The Range, York today, I have to report that the toilets were in a very bad condition. Litter all over each cubicle, and NO toilet tissue. I did let a lady at the cafe know but she said ?It?s nothing to do with, you need to let them downstairs know!? Downstairs I couldn?t find a member of staff. You need to correct this because they were very dirty.

If you're looking for a garden shed, don't go to The Range. They now own the Homebase brand but don't keep any sheds in store. At least I came away with a wall clock, so not a complete waste of time.

Absolute car crash of a shop. There?s stuff just left all over the place. Presume its returns, unsaleable items etc. strewn everywhere. As you?re walking round it feels like the place has been abandoned.
Got to the checkout. 13 people waiting, one guy on the till. He called for support, nobody came. After ten minutes another guy turned up but then the first guy had to go and collect a customer?s order from ?the warehouse?. So we were back to one. Then the second guy needed a manager to help with an exchange. He called five times for a manager to come to the checkout. Nobody came. So the people running this store even know how to do their jobs?

I like the range, good, affordable prices and plenty to choose from, the garden centre is great but the cafe is lacking in customer service skills! They are rude, bitchy about staff & customers and ignore people who are waiting to be served? and not because they are busy either! They totally let down the whole shop.

Used the click and collect service which was quick and easy only knocking a star off for in-store service as the shop clerk was great at finding my items in the warehouse and brought back to the till but no offer to help me to the car with them as one of the items being a large heavy BBQ and i was on my own but i just managed to get it into the car ?

A very good home goods store. But my God, how boring and monotonous everything is! You can see the same thing in any other home goods store. We wanted to buy a curtain rod, and a double rod at that, so that we could hang both thin curtains and thick curtains. Can you imagine, we couldn?t find one! The entire store sells only the curtain rod option that allows you to hang only one curtain - dark or thin, your choice. And you can?t have both together! What nonsense! The choice of thick curtains is very large! Only they are almost all gray! There were a few thick curtains in more or less cheerful shades, the rest are all in gray tones! Can you imagine - 50 shades of gray! From the darkest gray to the lightest gray! Is this a store for creating a special depressive atmosphere in the house or creating an interior for potential suicides? Well, maybe such curtain colors have a calming effect somewhere in a mental hospital, but I can't bring myself to hang something like that in my house! Horrible! We never bought anything suitable, we just wasted our time and fuel, and went there for nothing.
