Overnight stay on our way home from the Highlands. Rooms clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking Dog friendly. Paid for the full English breakfast, beautifully cooked and presented and plenty of it.
Will definitely be booking here again

Wonderful little find in a really quiet place. Great walks, if challenging (moderate said AllTrails app!) just perfect. Great pub and excellent food. Thanks Jen, Reg, Tom, And Richard.

Really lovely pub food great and breakfast really good cosy rooms that give you a feeling of being our in the country village is lovely and the staff are brilliant and really nice close to york so a nice base to stay and get back and relax in front of a roaring fire if you stay in the colder months like we did

The room we stayed in was in the courtyard, separate from the main building. The room was lovely and clean with a comfy bed , and the bathroom was massive . Nice touch with biscuits included with the tea and coffee facilities. We ate here in the evening and the food was good and the staff were all lovely and friendly. Out the back is a large outdoor seating area which was really nice and the surrounding village was pretty with a little beck running through and so peaceful.

Ate here recently whilst having a stopover locally.
Staff were really friendly and the food was really good. Prices are reasonable and the location is lovely, the village is really pretty.

Cheap and clean room with own bathroom. Impress I've selection of biscuits, tea and coffee that I have not seen in expensive accomodation. Didn't have time to go in the pub but looked cosy and good beer garden
