I go here most weeks for the last decade or so, on the whole it's pretty good, folks like you and me trying to keep it all together and exist.. some have a bad day, as we all do. Some need more training, but given that they do post office, lottery, shopping, shelf stacking, stock rotation etc I think it's pretty amazing.

The staff are absolutely amazing here! So helpful and the place always seems to be really clean and I don't think I've had an stock (yet) near it's Use-by date! I do have one small problem however... The prices! Some of the stock at this store is really overpriced, such as £2.15 for a SINGLE monster energy drink, which are £1.65-1.75RRP! Why are they literally 50p more?
Other than the prices? A great store!

Generally staff have been fine since I've been using this store for the last couple of months, mostly to post and usually buy other things too whilst there. It's unfortunate that there is one young guy with brown curly hair that is very rude and seems to bulley the other young guys that work there. He seems to have a few tattoos (he is not someone you would naturally look at though) and I have observed that he is racist also on a number of occasions. I am going to speak to the manager about him because he is really letting the store down. Reading the past reviews here, clearly the customer service in the store has generally improved. There is a small guy with glasses and brown hair who has always been great and helpful from day 1 and also another big guy who is friendly. Both deserve a raise as they provide excellent customer service. The rude young guy really needs to be investigated and I will be speaking to the manager about him ASAP. He has caused inconvenience to many.
The store is neat and tidy, has good parking and good customer service now generally. Just don't waste your energy on the young round faced guy with brown curly hair and uninteresting tattoos who clearly shouldn't be working there, unless you want to deal with an appalling attitude and want your mood ruined!

I shop at this store regularly and have spent a lot of money over the years but tonight I?ve spent my last penny I'm sad to say.
I was spoken to like a child by a young female member of staff who was probably young enough to be my daughter she passively aggressively said ?Merry Christmas? to me when handing me an item (I?m writing this in March obviously) I said there?s no need to be rude she said she wasn?t being rude but obviously I?m inclined to disagree.
I work in retail myself and would never speak to a customer like this and shouldn?t have to put up with sarcasm when I?m spending money.
I hope the staff enrolment improves but I won?t be there to see it.

Absolute Joke. 4 times I've been in to collect my parcel to be told I can't have it for half an hour or I need to come back later. 4 different times of the day I've been. Why have a click and collect point when you can't collect?

This store has come a long way since the elderly grey haired nasty lady has retired, how she was ever hired in the first place is beyond me but how she stayed so long quite obviously hating the place is also a mystery. Everything was always an inconvenience to her, hence all your awful reviews.The staff are now helpful and friendly in store and the store has everything you need but expensive.However, I went in store last week at 6pm to find that EVRI is now running on post office hours - so closes at 5pm every day, I work full time so idk when you expect working people to send their parcels now? Whoever in head office that thought this was a good idea has clearly never worked in retail themselves as the hard working staff in store will probably now get a lot of grief for this terrible idea,Just wait for Christmas when everyone wants to return things after work and can?t do so, if this is the case and you are closing EVRI early you?ll need to update your website making people aware of this because your staff will get grief from customers.Massive inconvenience, nice to see we?re going back to the times when the grey haired lady worked here and not progressing!!

Terribly rude staff encounter. Happened, twice. Staff member with ear pieces ignored, and then pretended not to understand what I was saying. Trying to make me look stupid. Then said I am dealing a customer right now with nasty face expression. Unbelievable. Previously a staff member said we dont sell umbrellas we are departmental store! even though I had seen umbrellas stacked there. Selectively rude staff. Will try to ruin your day.

Nipped in late morning 11/5/23 remarked how quiet it was & "we don't say quiet in here" was the reply from the rather grumpy female staff member(elderly) Obviously shouldn't be working there with her attitude. Nothing else said from her even though I'd said please & thank you before & after being served. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ON HER PART!!!!

Good location and parking facilities. Not good customer service, if you greet the staff they will not greet you or look at you to the face. In general they will ignoring you.Expensive prices.

Great its my all time shop until until lady refused to take a resident permit with a date of birth on it and had to ask for another form of identification. Just shocked!

I don't live in this area and very rarely visit the store. I've probably been in the store 4 times since its been there. I thought the first time I went in, maybe the lack of customer service was a one off. No! Every occasion I've been in the poor customer service has been apparent. Come on Spar sort out the Manager and the staff. Glad it's not my local. The woman on the Post Office this morning didn't have a clue. I walked out and the customer in front of me did too. He said it's always the same. One star is too generous. I get the impression the customers get in the way. Not good;
