“We arrived earlier than our scheduled appointment and were still warmly welcomed and invited to browse at our leisure…we were going to come back for our appointment but found the dress there and then! After trying on a few options, we found the perfect dress and hat for the Mother of the Bride. The assistants were incredibly kind, accommodating, and patient throughout, nothing was too much trouble. They were more than happy to bring out different dresses and hats, offering helpful suggestions along the way. Even after we’d chosen the outfit, they thoughtfully recommended ways to incorporate another colour and provided beautiful embellishments to complete the look. A wonderful experience with truly lovely staff—highly recommended!”

“I’m always impressed by the choice of boots for ladies when I visit Pavers. I love the unusual designs and the quality of the leather.I did buy myself a new pair of sensible black boots today, but I would have happily taken another 6 pairs of varying designs and colours as they were all so lovely!The shop itself is light and bright with plenty of space to get around and ample seating; the assistant “in training” who helped me was very personable and professional.I enjoyed my visit and will use again.Update March 2024: popped into the shop today as I was in Coppergate and drooled over a beautiful bag (a pretty good match for my Rieker boots) and this gorgeous pair of Rieker boots (sadly those heels are no longer compatible with my arthritic knee?).”

“Visited on Sunday in search of a pair of Dc shoes. I was greeted by Alexander a very friendly smiley individual who when called for came to my assistance and showed me the shoes we had in store that would fit me, he then sent me with Liv a very happy cheery person who was more than happy to help and even we will say attempted to lace the trainers while telling me she was looking forward to that evenings staff training. We did finally find a pair of DC for this fussy customer. What I really liked was livs helpfulness and calm banter and the fact Alexander popped back to check I was happy at the end. I'll be back.”

“Stopped off for something to eat on a recent York visit. Was very quiet for some reason but it certainly wasn't because of the food. We had 3 separate dishes and all were described as very good. I went for the gammon and it was very tasty - the best I've had for some time. Licenced as well so had a cheeky cider to go with my meal. Service was good and prices were fine. Great unrushed visit.”

“This is a typical size New Look store, very accessible with everything on one level.
The store is well laid out with lots of space between the rails and display units so it’s easy to navigate.
There’s a good range of clothes although, on reflection, I’m not sure if I saw any products for men? Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.”

“My husband and I had breakfast at The Pavement Marks and Spencer in York on 25th August '21.\\nThe staff, Courtney, Sophie and Steph were all lovely.\\nI cannot eat food containing wheat or gluten. And when I asked if the sausages where gluten/wheat free, they went out of their way to find out, bringing to us the food allergens list allowing me to see for myself. As it happens they use gluten/wheat free sausages, which is great. Because of cross infection they actually brought me a pack of four GF bread buns and said that we could keep them with no extra charge as they were not allowed to handle them.\\nI'd like to say a big thank you for being so helpful, understanding abs obliging. This doesn't happen very often. Next time we're in York, we will revisit!”

“Came into the store with my newborn baby and was delighted to find the feeding room! It had a very comfortable feeding chair with changing facilities and an activity board on the wall to keep a toddler entertained. This transformed my shopping experience which would otherwise have been quite stressful. I wish everywhere had one.”

“After seeing a lovely boot in outlet at Castleford but they didn’t have my size but was told it was available for shipping but they couldn’t order it for me I rang outlet at York to see if they had it but they didn’t either. I scoured the internet to no avail.
I was in York on the thurs for a show, just around the corner from the Clarks shop in Coppergate so I called in but they didn’t have the boot either but the lovely lady with blonde hair got it up & it was still available, she ordered it for me & sent to my house to save me going back to York. It took all of a few minutes she was so helpful. The boots were delivered the next day & were there when we got back early afternoon.
She made my day…..10 out of 10 for service from her…..brilliant service”

“For HGV drivers it has good access, now that the new building is operational. Not sure about driver welfare facilities, but there's nothing obvious - don't expect Amazon, with free vendors, etc!”
