I wish I could take them all. Please make a donation and make a dog or a cat or a mouse happy!

Great place and atmosphere. Spoke with Marie who was very knowledgeable and great personality. Although did not find what I was looking for, i felt really engaged by her help and service. Could not recommend enough

It is clear to see that staff at the York RSPCA do their best to love and care for homeless pets in a way that makes them feel like they are home during their stay! They are helpful and knowledgeable on each individual dog, showing that they take the time to bond with them and get to know every little quirk. We emailed a year ago to enquire about homing a dog whilst me and my partner both worked full time. We got a quick and helpful response (plenty of info also on the website). We applied for Skye last Christmas time. Despite it being Christmas and expecting delays to the process, staff were quick to get in touch to speak about Skye and book in our visits. They were very honest about her behavioural issues and why they thought she hadn't been adopted yet.It was easy to see that Skye loved and had bonded with the staff team and a couple in particular. We have brought her to the RSPCA fairs where she has been visibly excited to approach the RSPCA and see many people she recognized for expected belly rubs!We can't thank the RSPCA enough for allowing Skye to be a part of our family, for keeping her happy and being her family when she will have been feeling upset and confused about her situation, and for making the adoption process so streamlined!Skye would not be the happy dog she is today had she not been treated so lovingly during her time at the RSPCA! If she'll allow us to expand our family, we will definitely be back for another crazy Lurcher in the next year or so!!Some of the reviews on here are bizarre! Rating 1* because staff were busy prioritizing animal welfare and not sat around waiting for phone calls!

I went specially to RSPCAMy dog aged 15 died last February and I was ready to replace her. At RSPCA I could not go in, and was told to look on line. Not how it used to be. Very disappointing.
