Awful service - try elsewhere
We queued at the door for over 10 minutes - there were two female waitresses talking by the coffee machine and one poor guy trying to cover the tables. No one acknowledged us for over 10 minutes, when someone did come over it was to tell us they were full. It takes two seconds to great someone - even when busy and check if they have a reservation. Ive worked in hospitality for years and if this was my team, they would have a good talking to about customer service. Wouldnt try again.

Didn't like the service from the host, who was rude while setting us a table, but thanks to a wonderful chef who made one of the best pizza I've ever had, we are leaving with a positive emotions. Pizza Garlic Prawns is the best.

Came to the restaurant on a Monday afternoon 2 to 3 tables clearly available but was told it was a 30 minute wait for a table when I asked why was very abruptly told there was no table. Just couldn't be bothered to make the the table up, was told to try somewhere else

We went to pizza express and ordered our meal. we ordered one starter of dough balls, which we then saw after it wasn?t on our online bill but we also had an extra charge on our side which we didn?t order. we called over the waitress who we told about the situation so we thought it was all fine and we would get our starter however it had been 30 mins and no sign of anything and no change to the bill so we asked someone else about the situation to which we got a snotty reply to it telling us that it had been sorted. we then never received our dough balls. we got our mains which was all cold but we couldn?t wait any more, people around was also complaining about the temperature of the food. there lack of communication about the bill issue and simply no remorse for not having the starter after asking 3 times for it.

Ate here after visiting York Christmas Market. Food was delicious and arrived promptly. Artur was lovely and super helpful. Great experience!

Had the most amazing experience here. Food was delightful, especially the sticky toffee pudding, but nothing compared to the best service I have ever received from Artur (sorry for spelling!!) This man needs a raise he was so attentive all night, lovely demeanor and so welcoming, checked on us regularly and a genuinely great experience!! Thank you so much!!!

Visited today on an extremely busy day, we booked a table as I know how busy it gets in there on a Saturday anyway (I work back of house at another pizza express) we were served by Artur he was so nice and helpful and really friendly. He helped me with my app and how to use it as i wasn't too sure how to apply discounts etc, he was very informative and went out of his way to help us. We really enjoyed our visit and Artur was taking photos for people including us which I thought was nice to take time out when it was so busy in there. The food and drinks were lovely. Thanks for a great time!
Vegetarian options: Amazing mushroom truffle festive pizza!

You pretty much know what you are going to get with chains like Pizza Express. Food was fine and service extremely good. Would visit again.

Food was really nice, some of the best pizza we have had in a long time. The Dough balls in blankets were amazing.
But better than all that was our host Artur, he was pleasant and friendly with a good sense of humor. He made the evening a very enjoyable night.
