Opening times are very unreliable, regularly not as advertised. The product range is poor with ridiculously high prices. An inconvenience store.

Wouldnt get anything frm this store unless i urgently need it. The price is too unreasonably high and ironically it?s right in the middle of a university where their main client base is students.

Very Foolish of Nisa to sell at NOT student friendly absurdly high prices when students can now shop groceries on Deliveroo, from Asda,Morrison,Co op, Sainsbury?s,Waitrose etc delivered by deliveroo to our doorstep to all colleges! And they are cheaper than Nisa Stores! There are also several supermarkets only 20 min walk away for bigger shopping- all these options work out cheaper than Nisa Stores on Campus! If Nisa prices were reduced to Aldi/Morrison/Asda prices or even lower making it the best option for students Nisa could quadruple their profit margin as it will become the Place to shop for students! As for now Avoid, this is not a student friendly store! Unfriendly customer service & ?let?s rip off students? prices! However if Nisa stores on campus were to reduce prices to Aldi prices on ALL products then I will shop at Nisa! And the whole Uni will do too, Imagine then what profit you can make Nisa!

Horrendously rude staff, appallingly overpriced stock to monopolise on the student area, even though students have hardly any money at all anyway and an utter joke of opening hours.Worst shop I've ever been too in York. The staff need a serious attitude adjustment, highly unprofessional. Why work on a student campus if you hate students?Ridiculous.

Horrible Store with Pathetic Hours!Their operating hours are a joke - 8 am to 4 pm? Seriously? Who has the time for that? They clearly don't care about their customers' needs. They have no regard for people's schedules or convenience.Honestly, this store is stuck in the dark ages. There are plenty of other places with better hours and service. They need a reality check and a complete overhaul.Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place.Absolute waste of time and effort.

"Nisa? Don't you mean Nisa?" Thomas spat at his lover. "No it's definitely Nisa" responded his beau, javelining a garlic baguette into their basket. At this point the shop itself decided to join the conversation "You're listening to Nisa radio" it chimed in. "Well that's definitely wrong", "Yeah only a moron would pronounce it Nisa".

It's got a great range of stuff from international foods to things free of allergens. However, many of the things they sell can be found cheaper in waitrose - 20min walk away. For example in nisa, heinz beans 4 pack is £5, in waitrose its £4Cling film in nisa is £3, in waitrose its £2.50Yeah, they say they reinvest all profits back into the university but that's just unnecesarily vague and unhelpful. The best thing this shop can do for students is lower their prices to the point where they no longer profit.

As many students and staff will tell you, the Nisa is definitely an overpriced place to visit. A frozen margarita pizza here was £4.15 (as of February 2023) compares to £1.15 for a similar pizza at Aldi in York! There are a wide selection of food here, canned, frozen, vegan & dairy free as well as ready oven meals. Also a selection of alcohol to choose from. The reason for a 3? review is that I always seem to have issues at the self checkout! For some reason it always asks for assistance or manual review when all I'm buying is a loaf of bread! I never have these issues at other self checkouts in Tescos or the like which is very bizarre indeed. The staff have been friendly however I haven't had many interactions with them. I never really see any on the till which is why I have to use the dreaded self checkoutsIf you're passing by always check the reduced section even if you're not thinking of buying anything. I found a mince beef hotpot reduced from £3.35 right down to £1.25! A good deal, if you ask me.

This Nisa knows the value of convenience and therefore the prices are absurdly high, not student friendly at all. Staff are a bit abrasive and the shop is never fully stocked. The only bonus is the slushy machine in the summer months!

The Nisa here is very poor value for money, taking advantage of the fact that they have a monopoly on campus. Many items can be purchased much cheaper elsewhere, and some prices are downwright absurd. For example, 2L fanta zero costing £3 whereas the full sugar 2L fanta costs £1.99. I would advise other students to avoid unless absolutely essential, as places such as Spar and One Stop under a 10 minute walk away offer much better value and better service

Real poor quality produce, and prices that exploit students with little other option.
