Today I visited this store in York specifically to look for a gift from the Men?s section.
The escalators by the door were apparently broken as they were barricaded across.
The Men?s department is on the first floor so I made my way to the lifts half way down the store-not in use (and one hidden behind racking).
The only way up was via a spiral staircase-beautiful in design and an absolute nightmare to use with people going in both directions????It was an accident waiting to happen!
As someone with mobility issues it was difficult to use the staircase and the open spirals affected my vision.
I?m unlikely to use this store again and do not recommend it as suitable for anyone with mobility Issues or visual problems.
Other branches are far superior.

Some of the best customer service I?ve ever encountered. The lovely Carol went out of her way to help me find a particular shirt and order another couple online. I was well and truly looked after.

One of the few decent department stores in York city centre. Women , men and children's wear and a home department spread over 3 floors.

I was looking for a suit quickly on Tuesday (28th June) for a wedding tomorrow (2nd July) found one but the suit jacket would be 2-3 working days it was advertised! Just found out today (Friday) that it?s not actually due until next week and there?s nothing they can do about it! Absolutely shocking! I mean I know I left it last minutes but it?s like false advertising! If it takes 5-6 working days advertise it with that! Left me in a terrible situation as nothing is in stock in actual shops these days! Closing account

It was okay I'd not been in a Next for some considerable time but was impressed with the quality of men's clothing. However my biggest delight was I discovered they still sell bootleg jeans, albeit on line only and as I am a gentleman of a certain age they still to be more suitable.

Bought a dressing gown at Next York on returning home found empty sweet wrappers in the pockets and hair grips.Obviously it had been worn. Customer service offered a £10 voucher.Will be returning to the store for a refund!With COVID still about not great customer care!

Good range of clothes but sometimes limited in common sizes as stock seems to sell out quickly.Can order in line for in store pickup though.Staff helpful and friendly.

Usually enjoy shopping at Next. It would have been really helpful if there had been a sign at the entrance saying the fitting rooms were still closed. My daughter had picked up a lot of items, but due to a recent growth spurt really needed to try things on.
