We stopped for lunch. Service in the carvery is slow and they ran out of turkey before I got there. Plant section is ok and advice is available if you need.

Recently been taken over, Langlands is back to being full of indoor and outdoor plants, shrubs, garden furniture and really everything you could want from a garden centre. Sadly the food in the restaurant has gone down hill. They open at 10 but stop serving breakfast by 11. After that food restarts at 11.30. We had gammon, egg and chips. The gammon was more like a thick solid bacon steak. It was almost impossible to cut but entirely inedible. The large grilled tomato was no more than flashed under a grill it was not cooked. The chips were bland and tasteless. Very disappointing at over £12 per meal. We decided coffee and cake may work better. Impressed that they offer oat milk, but the cake, pre cut was very dry. The couple on the table next to us tried the Sunday carvery. They were equally unimpressed, the meat being dry and overcooked. The staff are still friendly but we will be going elsewhere to eat in future. Nobody asked if our meals were adequate or commented when they cleared our almost untouched 'gammon' steaks. Disappointing.
The little shop has a vast supply of delicious cakes, quiches, cheeses and gins. Not cheap but good value. The plants are also on the more costly side but I have never had a failure. Really friendly, helpful staff and plentiful parking
Langlands has new owners but the quality is the same. The prices are a little lower. The Christmas shop is amazing!

Plenty of room to get turned around in and unloaded straight away. Good lads on the forklift. One of the better garden centre's to go to.

Fab Christmas section, very friendly staff in christmas, cafe and on the till. With the floor been lino, it looked so clean and fresh, not like the Hornsea one. A mention to the 2 staff in the cafe. very friendly and welcoming, amazing cakes at a good price, very tasty. Also the cafe manager very friendly and approachable. looks a good manager. everywhere very presentable . Doesn't need any refurbishment. A pleasure to shop at.
My grandchildren loved the Christmas section.
well done to all at the centre, very well presented and not neglected.

Met a friend last week for breakfast, after placing our order the counter staff were having a problem with the order machine, anyway we sat down & our order slip was brought to us. After a 30 min wait & NO food arriving ( hardly anyone in ) I asked how much longer we had to wait, the café assistant went to check & came back to tell us the order hadn't gone through. Considering they took the order & were fetching the food out I would have thought they would have checked with the kitchen what had happened to our food. We were offered complimentary drinks but asked for our money back. Very disappointed & won't be back. Think some staff training is called for!!

Bought a gazebo from here which was not really fit for purpose. Any wind blows the curtains in completely and there is nothing to stop this as they are just not tight enough when closed. Langlands refused to take it back as they said that it had been assembled and we should have know that the wind would blow the sides in, even though it was on display inside, so no wind inside. It is the worst thing that we could have wasted our money on and now we are left with a useless gazebo. If I could give them no stars I would.

My mum had a medical 'incident' there and the first aid staff members were absolutely amazing. Not only do they nurture plants at Langlands but also people! Our thanks to Nicky, Dave, Ella as first aiders and Chloe in the cafe for their care and skills.

Fantastic place, lovely farm shop with local produce, Barry the fish monger selling fresh fish ! You can also get a beautiful lunch after wandering round the plants and clothing section, definitely worth a visit !

Please stop trading off the back of the Langlands name.
British Garden Centres, please up your game.
My sister and I visited yesterday and found the staff , checkout and cafe with a poor attitude. Cafe food was OK but not up to Langlands standard, service extremely slow, half an hour from.ordering to receiving food. I am disgusted that plastic beakers are out for soft drinks/water. These are not as hygienic as glasses. We will.not be visiting again. (Previous regulars)
