Perfect location to potter about around York. Hotel was very clean and staff very helpful.Really enjoyed breakfast.Room was located on the ground floor and view was brick wall of the next building.

Very clean, modern rooms with great shower. Good hot breakfast included. 10 minutes walk to all the sights and shops.

Good hotel. Nice breakfast and the waffle maker is a really good thing for kids.Staff were friendly, very polite and informative at the check in.Only a minor issue but TV is mostly non HD channels, bit old fashioned now.

Refused to refund the cost of the room due to a family medical emergency despite giving prior notice or offering to resechdule. Terrible customer service policy.

I?ve been with Hilton Honors for years expecting excellent customer service, but honestly, it?s been a letdown. Check in was super slow. Staff(not the young lady) was grouchy with cold tone. Late check out can only be at 1pm. No still water. Can hear raindrops in the room. Poor service and low standard room quality. Waste my money,even Motel One has better service. Time to leave Hilton!!!

It is very well located just around the corner from the tube station, at the entrance to the York walls.The room is comfortable, the heating can be regulated very well.Breakfast has everything, but since we went in winter it was limited in fruits (for a Latin it is important).Recommended for people who like to walk around the city.Safety: At no time did we see police or require any emergency situations.Walkability: You can walk the entire historic center from here.

I appreciate the hotel cannot be responsible for unruly visitors... but they are responsible for supplying hot water... I could not inform reception in the morning about the two issues because of train times..... because of this, no further action was taken....despite myself trying to calm the situation down.... I only received an email apologising with regards to the two guests fighting ... no apology for not having hot water... I am a Hilton member and have stayed all over the UK and Europe... I don't think I will return to the York hotel
