“What a charming historical find so close to the motorway. Nice explorable surroundings. Comfortable room and hotel with all the facilities you should need. Lovely and helpful staff and locals. I will definitely come again for pleasure. “Learn from the smaller Guys, bigger chains” this hotel was like home from home retreat and I regretted having to leave for my conference the following day .”

“I just had to say how good the customer service is here. I always head straight to the self service tills and the staff are there immediately! It's the same everytime I go. Most supermarkets you are fighting to find staff to help but at aldi they are there by your side before you even know yourself that they are needed. And as everyone knows tge prices are the most competitive!!”

“Just a normal supermarket has all one would need and plenty of parking. Best thing is they tailor your offers on what you personally purchase makes it better than any other store ?”

“My mum was involved in a incident today in the car park, where a car hit her and drove off. She is better and recovering thanks to the staff at Aldi. The manager and all the staff workers helped my mum by calling ambulance and police. The staff took mum into the back and looked after her whilst waiting for the ambulance. I can not express my gratitude enough. Thank you to the brilliant staff.”

“It is not our normal Aldi, but it was very good. Not too busy and the staff were so so friendly. We went on a Sunday morning expecting it be busy like our bradford one, but it was not. Fresh veg and salad were great.”

“Everything is fine except for one unpleasant gentleman. In a very unpleasant way, he pointed out to me that I had not closed the door, seeing that people were entering behind me. I wouldn't write this if it was the first time. One day they will shout at my six-year-old son because he will pull out a kinder egg from the wrong place. I don't think I need to describe my son's reaction. Apart from that, the entire staff is very nice and professional.”

“Tesco Express in York is much bigger than you first imagine from the entrance as it goes back quite some distance. It is clean, bright and well maintained with plenty of the usual items you would expect to find in a Tesco Store. There was a large wine cooler with a decent selection of ? wine to choose from. The staff are friendly and helpful.”

“Chris is a credit to the store, even early morning he’s friendly and helpful he Aldi builds a rapport with each customer by remembering names etc, the store itself is a little on the expensive side but all round well kept”

“Tesco Express obviously alot smaller than Tesco Extra. This makes the prices higher. Generally the store is always clean and tidy and is well stocked but you can definitely not get the full range as the big Tesco. The staff are always helpful at this particular establishment which I find important in my reviews. If the staff are bad it generally puts me in a bad mood for the rest of the day.”

“Visited to purchase goods advertised as 'special buys' on their website only to find that they are not available on the first day of sale. Food in general is good and at favourable prices, providing you accept their brand choices.”

“Never anything to fault with this store. Decent produce at a decent price. Yhe middle isles are always a nice gamble. Staff are lovely if they have time but they are hard working so dont take it personally if they are buried in their work without much time to chitchat”

“Not the biggest of home bargains, which means it doesn't stock the biggest selection of things I've seen before, but it uses its space well and all the shelves are well-filled.The staff are friendly, there are always enough around so if you need help, you will be able to easily find someone. The store is typically clean and tidy.There can occasionally be long queues at the checkouts as there's never normally more than 2 checkouts open.”

“Lived in this neighbourhood for two years as a student. Nicest staff! Best selection of Velos! Pretty good meal deal (will never beat tesco).

“Slightly small compared with most Sainsbury's superstores. However they do manage to get plenty of stock inside.
Good car parking and there are usable toilets.”

“There is always parking, helpful staff and you rarely find out of stock items.Only issue is that there is no service with O2 and giffgaff. Therefore, if you need to scan your big shop coupon, you need to open it on your phone before you enter the shop.”

“This store and Post Office are great. Prices in the store are good and there is a good range of convenience goods to choose from. The staff are all friendly and happy to help. They are also knowledgeable, efficient and very effective at serving customers at both till types (quite a feat sometimes when they are busy) They always do their best without getting in a flap. They are calm, cool and collected. All of the staff work hard and are an absolute pleasure to deal with and talk to. I mainly use the post office side of this business and cannot fault the service at all. Further, this store really helped the community during the Pandemic with the store side of things. The manager is very professional and adaptable to the changing needs of his local community. It is nice to be treated in a friendly human way like this.”

“I remember the many iterations that this shop has gone through, back to what I was shelf filling back in the '80s.Things have SERIOUSLY improved since then.Whilst the shop manages to pack in hundreds (if not thousands) of items, it does so in the clever way of only having a few items frontaging the shelves, with plenty of staff constantly filling in those that're running out.What's more, all of the staff that I talked to seemed to know where everything was - not just a generic "Oh, it's down that aisle", but taken to the spot that the items were.If the shelf was bare, the shop floor staff would quickly get in touch with the warehouse staff to bring out a couple of items - 1 for me and one for the shelf - before then adding that item to the list of things that needed filling completely.Car parking is exceptional, and although the only checkouts open were the self checkout ones, there were two members of staff on duty to ensure that people sped through their checkout process. I did note that there appeared to be half a dozen normal checkouts - but as I was in late in the day, I wasn't surprised that self ones were the only ones open.Well done, Sainsbury's - far better than the numerous other shops that've been on that footprint.”

“An incredible variety of gins on display! Wide range of delicatessen goods, delicious pastries and house furnishing items among many other wares - a real surprise and treat to find such a diverse array of merchandise at a petrol filling station! Friendly and helpful staff a bonus! Definitely worth several more visits!”

“Costcutter is a friendly little shop round the corner from me which sells basic groceries and things like alcohol and magazines. They open till about 9pm so it's a handy shop for last minutes things which I forgot to buy (or for a cheeky bottle of wine on an evening!) They only downside is you can only pay on your card if you spend a fiver which has stopped me buying things from there on a few occasions when I've just wanted a bottle of water and magazine for instance.”

“Found this store on a detour to motorway, lovely choice in the deli, hot drinks & sandwiches. Fresh orange juice machine available, sadly due a clean so didn't get to try it. Good value & a helpful, happy & polite young lad on the till.”

“I visited your store this morning to buy some wine. What I wanted was not on the shelf...again. However an extremely polite youg man called Tom came and asked if he could help. I explained my requirements and he checked and found the wine I wanted had just arrived in the warehouse. He offered to go and get it. 5 minutes later he returned with my requirements 6 bottles of a Rhone. He was so polite and pleasant and would like you to note and thank him. We'll donePhillip Hodgson”

“Absollute pleasure to deal with. I collect my prescription every Monday, then pop in for my usuals (2 meat and potato pies). I really look forward to my weekly treat, as I’m disabled and don’t get out much. This shop deserves 10 out of 5, above full marks. Kind, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. “I was informed of self checkout by woman sorting the papers at the checkout Fri 21st April 2023 approx. 8.15pm and told her I don't use self checkouts as it takes peoples jobs so whilst humming she scanned my few items as slow as possible and gave me my change as slow as possible so I hummed along back. It's your job I'm protecting woman and I don't get paid for doing the cashiers job so please stop as-king and just do your job.5 Stars for the man who has worked there since the Spar days (30+ years) is great, friendly and helpful and the other two women also, one who has also worked there since early Spar days.”

This wasn't my first time trading but honestly I didn’t know what to expect when I first joined. After much loss. God walked me through the entire process from start to finish, which was a HUGE plus!
