The man on the till today denied our 5yr old daughter use of the toilet unless we wait in the long queue and get served first. Let's hope he's never a parent with a child when they are caught unexpected. We were going to eat in but walked straight back out.

I am pregnant and had to use the bathroom badly. My family was in the line waiting to purchase food. I asked to use the bathroom and Mike blatantly denied me and was very rude. They told me I needed to wait in the long queue and only then I could use the bathroom. Eventually, after persisting they finally let me use the bathroom. I purchased food as I told them I would. Horrible experience and no care for a human being, and a pregnant one at that.

I would encourage anyone to avoid this Greggs like the plague. Visited at 8am to be met with a freezing cold store inside and mess all over the tables. I ordered a hash brown (which was stuck to the paper bag it was in), and tasted undercooked. To top it off, the coffee I ordered was also cold. Aside from that the roll and sausage was fine - but it was a disappointing visit.

The best greggs experience yet, coffee is lovely, staff really attentive and polite, very clean inside. Please note it opens from 6.30am in the week. Great place.

The most ignorant unprofessional staff ever encountered
The young lady that served us was rude
No skills at working behind a counter
The man barked at us when we asked which pastys were the warmest
If you don't like the general polite public and have to work New Year's Day I suggest you find a job that doesn't include people !!!

I would leave one star if I could! They were closed over 10 mins early and staff completely ignored us. Very unsatisfactory.

Even though it was very early in the morning, the young lass serving was so cheerful. You can't go wrong with a greggs brrakfast baguette.

I think Greggs is a five Star cafe bakery very best of York I keep going back because it's the staff are wonderful the food is gorgeous I recommend it 2 goes to York from Jason

The bearded bloke shouted at us, saying we weren?t allowed to sit inside if we?d ordered our coffee as takeaway. If he?s not keen on the job, maybe he should consider sheep farming instead

Visited today 13/10/24 wanted to have a sit down inside and have a nice coffee and something to eat Plenty of seats available but all the tables were filthy Shame on you

Plenty of staff behind counter
Shop wasn't busy Got my food and sat on wall opposite Lazy staff or poor manager
