“What an absolute gem of a shop on the Shambles. I wanted to go to York for this shop alone. It did not disappoint. We bought some reusable House coffee mugs and enjoyed the decor and items available. Luckily they ship! Such a wonderfully themed place. A must visit when in York.”

“Beautiful card/gift shop, I had a small problem with a gift I bought there so contacted the shop who quickly responded and offered a full refund as I was not local. Great service, gorgeous shop.”

“Had a great experience getting a butterbeer. It was tasty by not being as sweet as the Universal Studios ones. It's almost as good. My main gripe was that they didn't chill the bottles before making the drink. Having it warm was not ideal and I thought about knocking down a star, but I think it's more for the presentation. The design and theme of the place is great and I love all the fun potions.”

“Loads of good stuff. Present staff week laid out shop. But as you would expect with the National trust, because it's a charity and marks up all the products with its branding. Things are much more expensive than elsewhere. One good thing is that the NT is supporting local artists. And stocking some really beautiful gifts that are hand made/designed. Well worth asking at the counter which work is hand made.”

“Sterling souvenirs York city center.when I enter a store of souvenirs I’d love to find what I really need as a memory gift to take back home, many stores have members of staff ice cold , this particular has a magic person called Iveta , wherever she is from , you can see and feel how professional she is, works and assists customers in there needs.the way she talks is fantastic and the way she serves also which makes you feel more and more to purchase any product as souvenir for your family.I want to say that if every store had a person like Iveta then the business would go gold.Thank you Iveta for your kindness, service and was great to buy from the store, god bless you and and have a great Xmas. “Such an amazing wee shop! Such a quirky mix of items, whatever you're looking for - you're bound to find it! The owner, Rachel, is beyond wonderful and my mother raves about her (the shop is in her village so I always try make a pit stop when I'm visiting). Sorta sad I don't live closer! Or not, because I'd have bought everything already. Go have a look!”

“Great merch and some funny tees. If you missed the shops in London or want some less location-specific UK / London souvenirs, they have these as well. My main point of gratitude is towards the single chap who was serving a few days ago when I visited. He was really, really genuine and approachable - what a great experience! Here's to travelling the world, making friends, being open minded and taking a reminder when you leave.”

“I discovered Flying Tiger years ago on a trip down to London and love the fact that this one is so close to home. It’s a great little shop in the Coppergate shopping centre just by Fenwicks and across from Primark.Going into Flying Tiger for the first time is like entering a cross between an IKEA and the best sweetshop ever-it’s full of wonderful, colourful, reasonably priced things that you never realised you needed until now…Cute notebooks, colourful dishes, candles, giant marshmallows, paint your own Easter eggs, finger puppets … they are all there!Like many stores they now have a number of self service tills but there are also lovely staff on traditional tills.A must visit every time that I go to York!”

“One of those great places to visit in York if you are looking for a unique gift. The products in this shop have all been handmade by local craftspeople and include stunning glass designs, handmade cards, jewellery, key rings and even a variety of flavoured chocolate shards. The shop is very spacious and light and upstairs the same space is available for a variety of workshops. See the board in the shop or check out their website for specific details.I could spend a lot of money in this shop!Well worth a visit.”

“Just bought this fantastic sword! A bit pricey, but it's a hefty chunk of metal. Some other really interesting items in the shop too, from drinking vessels to clothing to ornaments and jewellery. If the Norse aesthetic is your thing, well worth a visit.”

“I visited this store with a friend in hopes of finding some niche items. We did find some niche weapons luckily.Reading the reviews, you can see that the reviews slate the staff within the establishment... A lot. I can understand why but do not agree 100% with them. The staff we met, were knowledgeable about the franchises the items were from. Customer service skills may not be trained within this business, but the staff are still supportive and happy to help. The male present, behind the counter, was a bit ostentatious at times and very very aggressive when we were discussing series, him taking offense to an opinion turned into a one sided debate. My friend however, had lovely conversations with him, so I am happy my friend was at least given a good experience.Despite this! The selection on offer was really impressive compared to other similar stores I've visited within the UK. The shop is small so they do well with the space they have, but I urge people to visit during off peak hours so you can properly take everything in.All in all, I can see why they have been in business this long and continue to thrive.Online aspect;Website is straightforward, could use improvements. But this can be overlooked as they are thorough with their categories and sections.”

“Very friendly shop that sell a lot of little niknak type gifts, with a lot of cards and tags, key-rings and bunting etc - great if you want to be a little crafty with your gifting. There are also a few little portable games. Clean shop with wooden beamed ceilings.”
