Amazing croissants?

Bought a creamy cake with strawbs on top on my way home on Sunday and shared it with my daughter ( the only food we shared all day )
We have both been sick in the night. The cream filled pastries just sit on the same racks as the croissants by an open door and exposed to all the customers/ staff..should they not be refridgerated/ covered?
Annoyingly my daughter works as a waitress so now cannot work for 24 hours.
Please address basic hygiene standards, I am not the first person to mention this issue here.

Fabulous experience at this bakery. We tried an asparagus flaky pastry which was incredible the pastry is flaked in multiple thin layers & is probably the best we have ever tasted. The barista cappuccino was amazing and when I enquired about the taste the member of staff advised me that the milk they use is naturally produced on a local farm in Elvington.Vegetarian options: Asparagus pastryParking: Local parking pay & display at reasonable prices on Bishy Road.

Stopped in for coffee and pastries two different days and everything was amazing each time. Great selection of bakery items and the coffee was phenomenal.

Very nice pastries. Obviously one of the more expensive places to buy. Opens up another neighbourhood of nice cafes. Would make a good detour from the wall walk if you?re early enough. Pain au choc with cardamon and hand and cheese twist were fantastic.

Visited on a Sunday morning, and for the price, it was a disappointing experience. Ordered 2 pastries and a coffee, and waited over 20 minutes for a flat white.Firstly, a member of staff brought over incorrect drinks to us, and then kept serving drink orders to customers who ordered after us. The shop assistant didn't apologise, and instead rudely told us that there were 2 people before us, which simply wasn't true, as we watched people order drinks, and leave with their drinks before we got ours. The Chocolate Croissant had less chocolate than a Tesco equivalent, and whilst it looked the part, it was slightly burnt on the top and greasy on the bottom - very underwhelming for £3.70!The decor and overall vibe of the bakery wasn't great, and felt a bit snobbish. This was not improved by a member of staff carrying a full bag of waste through the bakery and out of the front door.Unfortunately, in an area with many bakery and café options, me and my partner won't be returning.

Bought an almond croissant to take out as a treat and was thoroughly disappointed as it was burnt! Expected a lot more considering the extortionate price. There are better options that are very local and do much better pastries. Would urge anyone to avoid this bakery and try elsewhere.
