One of those great places to visit in York if you are looking for a unique gift. The products in this shop have all been handmade by local craftspeople and include stunning glass designs, handmade cards, jewellery, key rings and even a variety of flavoured chocolate shards.The shop is very spacious and light and upstairs the same space is available for a variety of workshops. See the board in the shop or check out their website for specific details.I could spend a lot of money in this shop!Well worth a visit.

If you want a quality souvenir from York, this is the place to go. The store features lots of local artists from Leeds and York. Items are unique and of much better quality than you would find in all the other tourist stores, and the sales support small, local businesses as well.

Amazing art and craft display and shop for local artists. Very high quality and professional items. Enjoyed a mooch around and bought a pressed flower keyring. I could have bought more!

Lots of lovely stuff. One very friendly lady knitting as she walked around and very helpful. The other was keen to have us leave ASAP and told us the store was closing at 5:15pm, though the store hours are supposed to be until 6pm.She successfully managed to kick out all other customers that were browsing in the shop. Bought some stuff, but could easily have bought more if we weren?t getting kicked out.I told her that the reason that there are people in the shop is because everyone else has already closed. Strange business hours in York - most places seems to close around 5pm.Some great local crafts, just needs better opening hours and all staff that actually want customers to come in and are welcoming.

Would not recommend the shop in its current state, as a local craftsman. Maybe consider buying direct from the individual Makers instead.Very badly run as a social enterprise, not supportive of Makers at all.

If you're looking for creative products made by York's locals, then look no further. Definitely worth a visit as some of the stuff sold here you just cannot find anywhere else and the novelty is having to go there yourself. Also there was a beanie on sale that had the best fabric I have ever touched and it was only £15. Bargain much?
