the gentleman that assisted me was very kind and helpful on all 3(?) of my visits. i bought 6 sample pots altogether and then a 5L tin of the 2 colours i finally decided on. on the first visit he explained how the paint mixing service works and the different finishes of paint available. i was very pleased with my experience at this store and if i decide to paint more rooms in my house this is where i will go to purchase them.i was also happy to know that dulux have a recycling facility if you return your sample pots of paint to them. you be refunded the cost of one sample pot against the price of one large tin of paint. but if you bought a ton of samples like i did they can also be returned and recycled.

Always helpful, well stocked and a pleasant businesslike air. Would do well to periodically check car park for mysteriously dropped screws, of which I'm noticing (and suffering!) a lot in and around York car parks of late.

I visited this store to buy interior and exterior paint. The woman who served me was incredibly helpful and explained the paint options available for both jobs. I was uncertain of the colour I wanted for the exterior, and she was super helpful and mixed up a couple of options, (you get a refund on these samples if you buy the paint). Nothing was too much trouble. The really great thing is they deliver for free, which is so useful when you don't have a car, and the paint actually arrived at my house before I got back! Can't recommend them enough, as so often being a woman, I feel slightly patronised in these type of stores.

Well over priced for paint, there is no difference in quality you get from Crown or Johnston 's and they are cheaper.

Always very knowledgeable and helpful. I'm just decorating at home myself not a professional decorator but using dulux trade paints and better quality brushes has given much better coverage and finishes. And we've just tried the new Little Greene range for a feature wall which is expensive but lovely colour and finish

Staff very helpful when looking for some top oil for a new worktop. Having never bought let alone applied this oil, the chaps were quick to advise and support both what to buy and how to apply. Would recommend.

Can't recommend these guys enough! My wife and I had a lot of decorating work to take care of and these guys were superb in guiding us to the right paint types for all the different rooms. Expert advice & support. Well done Dulux Decorator Centre York!
