“Not the biggest of home bargains, which means it doesn't stock the biggest selection of things I've seen before, but it uses its space well and all the shelves are well-filled.The staff are friendly, there are always enough around so if you need help, you will be able to easily find someone. The store is typically clean and tidy.There can occasionally be long queues at the checkouts as there's never normally more than 2 checkouts open.”

The only downside that has always been a problem is how long it takes to get through the checkout, it always seems short staffed. Also it's one of those shops you can't get out of without going through the tills....”

“Central York. An interesting lunch menu of hot dishes, open sandwiches or paninis with various toppings / fillings. Each has side salad and then a choice of three from six interesting other salads. Middle Eastern or North African flavours. The cafe is looking rather tired but the staff are lovely and we really enjoyed our lunch.”
