“On Google maps Barnitts is described as a Home and Garden store and as a Hardware store but it is so much more!They seem to sell everything you could ever need for your home and garden plus a whole lot of things you never knew existed - it’s enormous!Over the years we have bought all manner of things including a garlic press, a Swiss roll tin, bathroom accessories , light fittings and nails and screws…It is very easy to get lost as sections branch off but there’s usually a member of staff not too far away.I’m still not sure if I’ve explored every section.Highly recommended!”

“Came for a click and collect could have had more signage that it was upstairs collection as I had to queue for ages to be told to go upstairs. But once I got the the collection point it was very quick and smooth to collect my parcel.”

“Classy shop with very stylish items for sale. Has a small café to the front and on finer more balmy days, seating is to be found to the front on the pavement. On the next floor there are splendid artworks lining the stairs and there is a superb lounge area. Good muso choice playing. Really lovely pottery ware, though it wasn't a very full cup of hot chocolate. Blotted my copybook by getting distracted by the artworks and bumping into an old acquaintance and then all but forgetting to settle my bill. Big oops, not in the habit of doing that! Can imagine this place would be popular with the racegoers, specially those who have had a big win. I enjoyed the browse and the bake. Thank you.”

“Came into the store with my newborn baby and was delighted to find the feeding room! It had a very comfortable feeding chair with changing facilities and an activity board on the wall to keep a toddler entertained. This transformed my shopping experience which would otherwise have been quite stressful. I wish everywhere had one.”

“My husband and I had breakfast at The Pavement Marks and Spencer in York on 25th August '21.\\nThe staff, Courtney, Sophie and Steph were all lovely.\\nI cannot eat food containing wheat or gluten. And when I asked if the sausages where gluten/wheat free, they went out of their way to find out, bringing to us the food allergens list allowing me to see for myself. As it happens they use gluten/wheat free sausages, which is great. Because of cross infection they actually brought me a pack of four GF bread buns and said that we could keep them with no extra charge as they were not allowed to handle them.\\nI'd like to say a big thank you for being so helpful, understanding abs obliging. This doesn't happen very often. Next time we're in York, we will revisit!”

“I recommend TK Maxx to anyone looking for bags, this includes, handbags or traveling bags.
They offer a wide and quality selection.
I recently purchased a traveling and hands bags at an affordable yet quality bags.
The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because of how they display their clothes.
One has to work extremely hard to find items amongst loads and loads of clothing items.
I managed to find nice dresses but it took me hours flipping through dresses to get what I liked.”
