Hannah from crown decorating centre York was patient, helpful and listened to my request for a bathroom paint. She showed me samples, waited (it took me a while)! for me to choose and was excellent regarding her customer service manner.My daughter and I painted the bathroom; I love the colour (again thank you Hannah and staff at York for using their initiative and keeping their own samples from mixes to show actual colour of paint) but after first use of shower (we use a fan, vent too by opening the window and it?s a smallish bathroom) streaks appeared that can?t be wiped off.I would give Hannah 5 stars; it was the product she is having to sell that is the massive let down.Can Crown change their suppliers? After my experience I looked at other reviews and found many others having to deal with similar problems.

I always use this friendly and very helpful Crown centre. A couple of days ago I started painting a wall with a 'Palladian 12' sage green paint. The wall had been painted with the same titled colour color four years ago but since then - in 2021 - Crown changed its base paint and shades slightly*. So, the Palladian 12 is now slightly wrong as a colour. I went back to the York centre and Karen took a lot of time checking the colour and eventually matching through their shade-matcher scanner the shade exactly to my 2020 purchase. 10/10 for customer service and genuine care. Karen and her colleagues are a font of knowledge on all paint matters. *to be fair there is a permanent notice on the door of this centre to this effect.

Not the cheapest ticket prices but if you get a member card and visit often the prices get more reasonable. But, you can't beat the quality of stuff on sale or the selection. Well done the Crown York staff.

This place is unreal. No prices on paint and when asked about the price the lady said £40......£40 that's £12 dearer than anywhere else.Words fail me. I went elsewhere.

Received amazing customer service from Michelle on 16th August 2023, she was very friendly, professional and made me feel very relaxed and she even made me laugh because of her jokes, she talked me through the paint options and I'm pleased with the purchase I made in the end and also got a discount by signing up to an account, really pleased with the customer service and will be returning in the future when I need to paint any other rooms in my house, highly recommend this place with the quality service and products. The paint looks amazing in my kitchen and I'm really pleased with the results

What a great shopping experience! Went in looking for a specific brand of paint in a Chartwell green - non standard colour. Hannah helped me to find a fantastic colour match and took the time to source a special mix for me. I was notified when the paint was ready to collect and am delighted with the colour. As a householder nearing the end of building and alteration work and requiring unfamiliar products to complete the decorating, I visited the CDC in James St York twice in recent weeks and on both occasions received excellent customer service. Karen welcomed me the first time and explained that a Trade account would save me money, (very welcome as the costs seem never ending) and opened an account straightaway. I felt encouraged by her friendly and professional approach so when I needed to buy another product I had not used before I did not hesitate to go back. Hannah gave me advice on the door oil and application and checked the information with a colleague to make sure I bought everything I needed. Both ladies found items for me in store and couldn't have been more helpful.I wish I had known about Crown years ago!Thank you.a Trade Account even though
