I guess the only positive thing you could say is Costa at York Hospital is ?Consistent?.
Consistently Burnt
Consistently Messy
Consistently Late on opening times

Ordered a Spanish latte. Received a normal latte. Refused to remake it without me queuing again. Shocking they made it wrong charged me more then expected me to que again in a long queue may I add when I didnt have time as I had an appointment in the hospital to get too. Shocking. No customer service at all

Really not impressed, coming down at 4.45 , 15 minutes left open, and staff had put all food away and refused to do any hot food. All snacks and cold food were covered up too, had to ask to remove the covers. It's the only place for patients to go with decent hot food, so disappointed. I was taking out too

The best Costa in York. Helped me out with skimmed milk when I was in hospital two years ago very ill. They are all lovely whenever I'm in there, very helpful to me being in a wheelchair. Tea skimmed milk

Bottom half of hot tap behind counter literally black and layers of slime on. Top half and cold tap are stainless steel so I think under that gunk it is silver but is so dirty. Wouldn't have anything to eat here now.

As a frequent user of your coffee shops, unfortunately this one let you down I'm afraid!
The service, friendliness and welcome was nowhere near the level of service I usually receive in other locations.
I appreciate the 2 young girls on duty may have been inexperienced but if that is the case maybe they need an experienced colleague to support them.

Very busy location - in York Hospital. Usual Costa offer. Staff are busy but engaging. The constant flow of customers means that seats can become scarce at times. Drinks often served in takeaway cups rather than proper cups.

It's in the hospital main entrance foyer
Easy to use tables with a wheelchair
Plenty of tables
Quick service
Large coffee was large and very welcome - and hot ?
Plenty of toilets including disabled nearby and all on ground level

Shambolic, staff not knowing which order was which, unorganised and chaotic.

Not a great experience, you can only order on the shelf service boards, not user friendly, took 3 times before it worked. Alot of people was having problems ordering. No sign to say you can't order at the counter. It's a hospital and this is not a suitable option for all people. People where walking in past them ,then standing at the counter and then after waiting being told they had to use the screens. One member of staff was on the floor but not always at the screen to assist. This way of ordering is not putting the customer first . Where is the option to pay by cash ? I had a voucher and you can't use them . They have the monopoly and could be improved greatly. Bring back the old cafe when it was run by the charity or a local company that might put the customer and there needs first. Coffee was okay. Staff where friendly. Place was clean .

Have just visited Costa at York Hospital. The outside sitting area was
disgraceful. Used wooden knives and forks on the floor, litter, and a stench from a blue waste bin next to the tables. I complained to an employee about it who said the area belongs to the hospital. I tried the reception to be told it belongs to Costa. Who ever owns it it was a health hazard in a Hospital. Please can someone sort it out!
