debbie is extremely rude been served by this woman 2 times and both times i was served to a very low standard. No conversation, no smile. No customer service skills what so ever. To begin with i put the attitude down to the woman having a bad day however after my second visit i believe it is just her attitude towards customers. It?s a shame as the majority of the staff are lovely. As previously working in hospitality establishments myself, i know this is not how customers should be treated. It is also very clear that this is happening to customers other than myself as stated in others reviews.

What rude staff at this cooplands. Do they not receive any customer service training. No acknowledgement no thank you. Obviously not the pick of the local employment opportunities.

Hate leaving bad reviews, especially when the food is actually good. The staff need sacking, ive been served by a few different people but all except one were miserable and unwelcoming. They cant be bothered to do their job and act like every request is the end of their world. I dont know how they still have a job given the extensive number of reviews stating the same thing. Im a very pleasant and friendly person generally but not when im served (eventually) in this shop. Multiple times ive been left standing, ignored and huffed at whilst they go chat to their mate in the back. I do hope management do something about this because I do enjoy their sandwiches.

The staff in here are so rude! Never smile, never say good morning, she tuts when you ask her something ? I just laugh and try kill them with kindness.
I go in there every week for me and my dad and I hate it, I wish I could go to another one but I don't have time from where I live.
They take no care making the sandwiches, me and my dad re arrange everything in them when we get home and warm up the sausage rolls, we end up loving them!
When I walked in a few weeks ago and saw there were a new lady behind the counter I was so happy, then I soon learned she was just as rude, if not worse ?
It's a shame, always loved cooplands, but the staff in here are so rude and miserable, me and my dad have started making our own sarnies so we don't go in as often.
As the saying goes, she's in the wrong job!

Alr but very rude women, rolled her eyes at my bf when he was choosing his salad for his sandwich and said repeatedly what salad do u want in aggresive manner, also rude when I take my daughter in on morning before school and when I?m choosing I ask if food is warm or I?ll just ask for sausage roll she just so rude. Thanks ? edit. Tried again and absolutely annoyed, same women moody as always, bc she picked up wrong order she rolled her eyes. She also gave me a dirty box which I could have been allergic to, absolutely disgusting. I was told the bacon cheese rolls was warm, so I bought them they was stone cold absolutely gutted, sausage rolls always cold same as everything else, don?t thing they?ve ever been any warm or even fresh.

Purchased some pastries,tasted old, out of date and stale.
I should have taken the items back but I really could nt be bothered , because if this is the standard of the bakery, then they obviously would nt be bothered either . I don?t expect to give you a Hollywood handshake but at least sell fresh food

Absolutely a jewel in the crown. Great service, products and staff at York Monks Cross. Special mention to staff member Emily D. Attentive and lovely person. Cooplands...be proud.

Food is lovely, staff were great but... 25p for a bag? Really, I can understand if it was a plastic bag that you can use again, but it's a paper bag that you can't use again. Paper breaks down saves the environment so well done on that side but a bit steep in price. Something to look at!

I LOVE THESE YUMYUMS! UNBEATEN! I absolutely rate the craft manship behind this beautiful tasty treat. The other pastry goods are OK, they use a different kind of puff pastry, one that is not really flakey. I personally I'm not into that as I like it when pastries are flakey, it give a different texture and taste.
Overall get the YUM YUMS you won't be disappointed!

Called in before travelling back North. Long queue to be served. Overcharged for 2 meal deals. Rubbish had flowed onto the top counter of both rubbish bins inside the shop.No sign of the milk flask, had to ask twice for milk. Would not revisit,!

Great bakery with a good selection of food and drinks. It?s great that they make freshly made sandwiches so you know there will always be one to suit you. They also deliver on Just Eat now which is excellent. Staff are friendly and the prices are good too.

Longtime since I have been here .. and the last .. served by someone who just picked up my selection with her fingers and bagged it ( 4 times ) queues but people in the back chatting ? no sausage rolls left at 1pm !!Finally ? the cakes ( almond slice especially ) were stale .. pre made cup cakes , almond slices were all more than a day old , my selection didn?t come from the front of shop but from a drawer behind the counter ? so if you don?t care I won?t care to return .. absolutely wasted my money ? complacency is poor management

I actually search for a Cooplands when travelling in and around yorkshire, as they are the best . The Monks cross one is in a perfect location and open till 7.30.pm
