“I was so happy with my service.
Popped in to get a bra fitting I was nervous, but the shop assistant was so helpful and put my anxiety to ease.

I would like to know how I can let head office know just how appreciated I am to that one member of staff?
As I don't want to put names on here.

But I would like to compliment that one member of staff again C , for helping me get the right wear for a photo shoot.
Without this member of staff I don't think I would of got half the outfits I needed.

“We arrived earlier than our scheduled appointment and were still warmly welcomed and invited to browse at our leisure…we were going to come back for our appointment but found the dress there and then! After trying on a few options, we found the perfect dress and hat for the Mother of the Bride. The assistants were incredibly kind, accommodating, and patient throughout, nothing was too much trouble. They were more than happy to bring out different dresses and hats, offering helpful suggestions along the way. Even after we’d chosen the outfit, they thoughtfully recommended ways to incorporate another colour and provided beautiful embellishments to complete the look. A wonderful experience with truly lovely staff—highly recommended!”

“In urgent need of waterproof shoes because it was pouring when I arrived in York, I ended up in this place on the recommendation of the staff of the hotel where I was staying. They were almost closing and still the seller was very kind to me. They have very good prices compared to other stores.”

“Came for a click and collect could have had more signage that it was upstairs collection as I had to queue for ages to be told to go upstairs. But once I got the the collection point it was very quick and smooth to collect my parcel.”

“I’m actually praising the small Country Barbour stockist shop next to the larger shop , it is part of Smarts but specialises in country wear . I’ve bought numerous Viyella shirts and treated my wife to a long quilted Barbour in their sale at Christmas. I always chat to the staff when I’m in the store , they’re knowledgeable with the stock and can actually hold a conversation ( not like the young staff some shops have ) . I’ve walked out of their shop today with a lovely buttoned down collared Viyella shirt . So when the boss reads this , please praise Linda and Jane I met today and in the past Stephen who also is helpful and knowledgeable.”

“Last Friday, my wife and I visited the Moss branch at Leeds Trinity in the afternoon. The shop was quiet, and the staff were standing around talking to each other. Unfortunately, no one came over to offer us any help or advice, so I decided not to buy anything and left disappointed.

Today (Sunday), we visited the Moss shop at York Designer Outlet. Even though the store was busy and seemed a bit short-staffed, a lovely lady named Sarah approached us and helped me choose the right suits and trousers in terms of size and colour. She kindly spent around half an hour with us, and thanks to her help, we found the perfect suit.

The manager, Martin, was also incredibly helpful. I even told them I’d rather drive 50 minutes to York than return to the Leeds branch, simply because of the great customer service we received here.

A big thank you to Sarah and Martin! I hope the Leeds branch works on improving their customer service.”

Compared to other times we have gone and come back with quite a lot of shopping this time we only found something in Ben Shermans, which means that the savings we made cost that in petrol”

“I am fed up with buying jeans that don't fit properly after a couple of washes. This place sorted me out very professionally and even had jeans shortened for free. By far the most comfortable pair I have worn and went back. Not cheap but excellent product and service”

“Just wanted to feedback on a purchase made from Trek Overland who we'd decided to purchase from as they happen to be a trusted Decathlon partner.Why the mention of Decathlon?We were looking for a vehicle awning and as both my wife and myself had some vouchers from work we were looking for options to select a supplier that we could use our vouchers at AND get something that we both agreed on as a purchase that we'd find worthwhile.Our work earned vouchers initially appeared to mostly be for the typical high street and online retailers. When we saw Decathlon included as accepted retailers in both of our separate voucher schemes, we looked on their site on the off-chance of finding something we'd agree on to buy.This was the first good thing. That we could combine our vouchers and use at the same retailer. Second good thing was that we found the Darche 2.5m Slimline Eclipse Vehicle Awning available through the Decathlon site. We knew that Darche are a respected Australian camping and outdoor adventure brand so; when we saw that we could buy one of their products that ticked the boxes for us and our van, and we were able to use all our vouchers, and supplement the remaining 50% with cash we were happy to make the purchase.The third good thing was when we realised we would have the product supplied by Trek Overland who are, as I said, a Decathlon trusted partner. Trek Overland also happen to be a respectable UK distributor of Darche and other outdoor products as well as being one of the leading UK 4x4 and offroad vehicle preparation specialists (included these words as we witnessed their work first hand when we visited their site! - see below), so we were then VERY happy to make the purchase!As I wanted to try and get the awning as soon as possible, I thought I'd contact Trek Overland direct to see if I could collect the awning from them. Here's the real reason I took the time to leave this review... I rang Trek Overland and spoke to Clare who couldn't have been more helpful and polite. Clare agreed for me to visit their site and collect the awning and we agreed a suitable time (to suit us both) and we made the trip up to their lovely rural site in Nawton, North of York on the Saturday after I'd ordered.Clare emailed me a confirmation of the agreed appointment time (as it was a Saturday) on site and attached a map for directions and noted that they could also advise on the best way to fit the awning to our FlatDog roof rack. When we arrived at the pre-agreed time, Clare and partner Tim advised and I'd already gone with a plan to purchase some RacksBrax Quick Release HD Hitch Awning Mounts* to fit the awning to the expedition roof rack of our VW T6.1 LWB.Not only did Tim and Clare guide us on how best to fit to our van, when I asked if they minded me installing while at their site, they BOTH helped me get the awning installed. Using their experience and product know-how, they made the installation a pleasure to carry out and while I'm very capable, I can honestly say that their guiding and doing most of the installation work was very much welcomed.I would have no hesitation of using Decathlon to facilitate purchases from this particular trusted partner (Trek Overland) and I just know that if I need anything 'expedition', 'offroad', 'camping trailers/roof tents' and any such associated equipment, I would DEFINITELY recommend this company (Trek Overland).Thank you, Clare and Tim.*Just to point out that I'd gone to Trek Overland already with the idea of installing the RacksBrax quick release bracket system which I asked about and Trek Overland fortunately had in stock. As Clare pointed out though, their products are all available to order online and have delivered. So, if they hadn't had the RacksBrax kit in, I could still have installed the awning as the Darche supplied brackets need to go on the vehicle anyway. I would have then ordered the RacksBrax kit and fitted these quick release brackets at a later date.”

“One of my favourite shops in York. Love the clothes range, everything true to size and well made. Ordered some sale items online and picked them up from store on Tuesday, staff courteous and polite and items beautifully packaged.”

“We visited yesterday and spotted a pair of trainers that were perfect. Luke approached us and asked if we needed help, the size I needed wasn't out on display but he checked all boxes individually and then radiod Liv in the stickroom to help.
Liv then picked up the batton and searched high and low. Unfortunately, the size i needed wasnt there but Luke informed us of the next delivery day and said to call ahead 1st. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. We were also helped by Hannah too. I highly recommend ? every store needs a Luke, Liv & Hannah! They are all a credit to the store and brand!! Thank you.”

“A lovely hotel with pleasant & helpful staff. The car parking can be a challenge - it's a pity there isn't more space. You may need to arrive by 3.00 pm to ensure you get a slot. The bar is a welcome part of the hotel, even if it's raining it's easy to pop in for a drink - although £7.50 for a pint & an apple juice is a bit steep. The dining room is fine, with a good menu choice. We tried the 'grazing and sharing' menu so that we had room for desserts. A good choice as it turned out - and the grazing portions are adequate. The duvet was quite heavy which made for a slightly unsettled night, but it wasn't a problem.”

“Brilliant customer service at Mountain Warehouse from Christian. He was very knowledgeable and asked excellent questions so he could recommend the right products for me. He was very patient and calm and made, what could have been a daunting and confusing experience, very simple and stress free. He recommend the right sleeping bag for a music festival as well as some quick drying trousers that needed to be ordered and arrived in good time before my travels.Highly recommended, especially if you can get served by Christian ????????”

“My husband and I had breakfast at The Pavement Marks and Spencer in York on 25th August '21.\\nThe staff, Courtney, Sophie and Steph were all lovely.\\nI cannot eat food containing wheat or gluten. And when I asked if the sausages where gluten/wheat free, they went out of their way to find out, bringing to us the food allergens list allowing me to see for myself. As it happens they use gluten/wheat free sausages, which is great. Because of cross infection they actually brought me a pack of four GF bread buns and said that we could keep them with no extra charge as they were not allowed to handle them.\\nI'd like to say a big thank you for being so helpful, understanding abs obliging. This doesn't happen very often. Next time we're in York, we will revisit!”
