Hi just had two days away with my two sisters stayed here Arthur and his wife were very accommodating nothing was too much I had a double room lovely but bathroom was very small when as in the twin room bathroom was much bigger. Breakfast was good plenty of choice

5?? A Wonderful Stay in York!
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Arthur greeted us with genuine kindness, helped park our car, and carried my luggage into the hotel, such a lovely start to our stay. I?d accidentally booked a large family room, but Arthur sorted it out for us without any fuss, which we really appreciated.
The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We were also given some a great tip for a local pub round the corner. Breakfast was absolutely spot on fresh, tasty, and a great start to the day.
This hotel is a little gem of a find and we?ve already rebooked for future stays. Can?t recommend it highly enough!

I had a lovely stay at the Clifton Bridge Hotel. Arthur and his team gave me a warm welcome and tips about the area.
I really like the location, especially to walk and run by the river, either south to reach town easily or north to enjoy the nature.
I enjoyed the comfort of my room, and the breakfast was brilliant and relaxing.
Will definitely recommend and think of booking again when visiting next time.

Was driving to York to stay for a night and was passing this lovely quaint building and decided to come in and ask about staying,we were walmly welcomed by Arthur who kindly made us some tea and biscuits and gave us an a lift to the Railway Museum.The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was excellent,would recommend anyone to come and stay here .

Great location jst on outskirts York 10mins or so drive to center. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The decor was brilliant especially the breakfast/seating area sofas to relax and an outside patio Arthur, the host was busy painting the outside walls even then was no problem if we needed anything. took grandson 2 nights to visit railway museum Arthur even offered drop us off. Excellent breakfast lots variety. Was cash only to pay for staying but wasn't a problem But best bit if taking kids opposite the hotel is a park Homestead park. Well worth a visit play area for kids. toilets and a walk around the grounds is a must
Will definitely book again.

We are three ladies who stayed here so that we could engage in the yearly event York Open Studios. This hotel was lovely. The rooms were very comfortable, with complimentary drinks and biscuits. The breakfast wonderful. But the very best of our stay was due to the helpfulness, kindness and friendliness of Arthur and his staff the lovely Linda. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you both, very much. Xx

York has been getting super expensive over recent years to stay so we'd not been for a few years, then we discovered this B&B & won't need to stay anywhere else again! The room was cosy, warm, well equipped and quiet. Spacious shower room, excellent quality shower, plenty of towels & complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was provided in a gorgeous dining room with lovely decor. There was an excellent choice - fresh fruit salad, yogurts, cereals, toast & nicely cooked full English. Arthur was very welcoming & accommodating and the lady (apologies for not asking her name) who served breakfast was friendly and efficient. Free parking a huge bonus! Fab location, around 15 minute walk to the Minster. We've already recommended this place to friends and we hope to revisit soon. Thank you for a great 2 night stay.

Fantastic BnB. Owner couldn't do enough for us, there were 5 in our party. Owner and staff were very helpful and polite. Room was great, very clean. Breakfast was amazing, will be booking for next year!

More of a b&b than a hotel. On suite room was nice. Beds a bit firm but comfortable. 15 minutes walk into York centre. On site free parking. Breakfast made to order but no marg only butter.

2nd visit to the Clifton Bridge and we were completely happy to stay again. Our rooms ( mine and my sister-in-law) were delightful: the beds were comfy and there were plenty items in the hospitality trays. Breakfast was plentiful and, unlike other hotels, we were able to choose what we preferred in addition to a large choice of juices, cereals and fruit. However our host, Arthur went the "extra mile". He willingly drove us to the centre and returned for us when we were ready to go back, thus saving the need to find parking or taking taxis. A truly remarkable and friendly host,

Stayed here for one night in July. Arthur was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, he even drove us to the City. Great rooms, quality breakfast and perfect location. We will be back, thank you Arthur.
