me and my fiancé spent the weekend here marking our 5th year anniversary and it was amazing as it was our first time ever in York.
the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, always offering and asking if we required support or help with our bags or other things.
the hotel is not far at all from the city centre and fairly priced for what you receive, i noticed on other reviews that people complain about the £15 parking charge but i think it?s a bargain considering average parking in the area is much higher, paying the £15 a night ensures your car is tucked away of the street and safely in the car park which was a peace of mind for us.
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially with the excellent room service, cleanliness and the very kind room upgrade we were given to mark our celebrations. the TV wasn?t working which was ashame however we didn?t let it dampen our weekend and were too busy doing touristy things. if anyone is thinking of visiting clementines, i would definitely recommend it. thank you :)

Good location, easy parking, lovely staff. Room not great -style over substance. Incredibly loud, creaky floor, not enough accessible sockets and bathroom so small that the door wouldn?t open fully without hitting the toilet, so that getting dry after showering required a contortionist?s skill. Also the shelf over the hand basin was loose and sloping, so it couldn?t be used - everything fell off. Having said that, the bed was clean and comfortable, the toiletries were generously supplied and smelled amazing, and the shower cubicle itself was spacious and clean, with perfect temperature water.

This is such a lovely place, quirky and interesting, individually decorated rooms, great bar and lounge area, such friendly staff and terrric value for money.

Fab, fab, fab! Rooms are quirky and very different to a standard hotel. Beautifully decorated, well equipped and very clean. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Good variety of choice for breakfast, which was great and made fresh to order. We were a bit worried about accessing parking because there aren't a lot of spaces, but fortunately the hotel wasn't fully booked so we were ok. Really good location, only 10 minute walk into the city. Would definitely recommend and we'll be going again.

We had a nice stay at Clementines guest house. The lady who checked us in was kind and helpful and the rooms are really quirky which is nice! Also, Clementine the cat was the highlight for m, he loves cuddles which was so nice.
There were a couple of things that unfortunately made me feel like it deserves a 4 star instead of 5.
Firstly, charging £15 to park feels extremely steep, we got parking cheaper and closer to centre of York. In addition, our chandelier in our room was broken and very wonky. View wasn?t brilliant, overlooking a building site over the road but guess this can?t be helped. There?s also a sign that says feel free to take our shower gel and shampoo but we will charge you £15. They are not worth £15, so beware of this. Overall; a nice place to stay!

A handy location for the city centre. Our room was tiny but OK as we only stayed one night. Modern decor very clean. Lovely breakfast and friendly helpful, staff. I would stay again

Fabulous, quirky, beautiful, clean, quiet hotel. We stayed three times. Most of the staff are wonderful. A big shout to Cameron who went that extra mile on all of our stays to ensure our stay was comfortable. Had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was great yet one member of staff serving breakfast could smile a bit more, we found her a little abrupt and impatient on our second stay.

Absolutely worth the 5 star review! The room was amazing, the staff are friendly and so helpful. The cleanliness is what you would expect in a top range hotel. And the breakfast....... Best we've had in a b&b.Close to the city centre, parking on site and the garden is a hidden gem.Will definitely be making a return visit to this amazing place.

A brilliant high spec boutique hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommadating, the decor is outstanding, the breakfast has great choice and exceptional quality. Beautiful outdoor seating.Great location, easy walk into centre of York.Definitely recommend this hotel for a perfect stay.

What a lovely night we had! Everything about this hotel is perfect: the friendliness of the staff, the location, the quality, the price?We stayed in room 21 and the decoration, and facilities were just lovely. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, especially with the parking on site and the quick walk into York town centre.Thank you yet again and see you soon, Wesley A.
